Let it Snow!

Can you believe it's December already??  I think I say this every post, but time flies!  We had a fun day playing in the snow.  Aidan is in heaven!  Ellie fell once and that was enough for her!  I remember playing in the snow for hours when I was a little girl and my mom would have to make us come inside to warm up every once in a while; now as an adult, I get out there and wish my mom would be calling me to come warm up...seriously after three minutes, I was ready!.  Instead, I try to be tough... good thing little miss kya came over to brave the cold with my litlle snow warrier and gave this cold mama a break : )  Enjoy the snow and happy holidays

~Bring on Fall~

   Finally I think mother nature is going to cooperate by giving us some fall weather.  Yeah!  This last month has been quite enjoyable for us.  With vacations, weddings, and other fun stuff, our fall has started off pretty busy.  Brandon and I had a fabulous time on vacation in the Dominican Republic.  The weather was hot and the ocean was breathtaking.  Brandon got pretty crispy, but i guess that's what you get when you think SPF 4 is going to cut it.  Hopefully he learned his lesson!  Aidan is doing well in preschool.  He loves it.  He's coming home and singing all these kiddy songs that brings me back to my childhood.  Ellie is great.  We enjoy a couple afternoons together without the boys...it's nice : )  The two of them definately coin to phrase of fighting like brother and sister.  I thought the controversy would start a tad bit later, but oh well.  This last weekend our good buddy Tina got married.  Bitter sweet, since Brandon and my five year wedding anniversary is on Friday!  Best part was seeing all the girls and catchingup.  Truely a group of unforgettable women...I am so blessed to have them all in my life.  Love you dearly and miss you much!

The long awaited VACAY!!

Yep, Brandon and I are leaving in a few short days for our first vacation away from the kids.  WooHoo!!  Sure they will be missed, but everyone needs a little mommy and daddy time.  We leave on Saturday and are hitting a Cubs game, then we will fly out for Punta Cana in the wee hours of the morning.  We are super excited.  But I have a quick prayer request to lift up to all of you prayer warriors out there, safe travels is the obvious one.  But the main one is that Aidan will be starting his first day of preschool while we are gone.  I know, he's getting so big.  i pray that things will go smoothly for the kids while we are out of the country.  Hope this week is treating you all well.  Take care, thanks, and God bless : )

Don't you??  The kids and I are really enjoying summertime.  We hope and pray that you are too.  Not much new here with the Disch family.  Ellie will be one next month and i have to announce that she is now walking!  She walked all the way across a friend's kitchen this morning and now she walking everywhere.  So cute and so big.  Oh my!  Aidan is attending Life Church's VBS this week and is really enjoying it.  Last night we went to Magic Waters and he was in heaven.  The water, the tubes, the slides...he couldn't get enough.  We are now preparing for preschool in the fall.  I am so ready as is Aidan.  He can't stop talking about school.  As for Brandon and I, same ole', same ole'.  Brandon has been pretty busy at work, but took enough time to finally finish the fence...well it just needs a few finishing touches, but George is enjoying his new freedom like a dog should!  And me, I learned how to wakeboard a couple weeks ago...crazy.  Let's just say you can teach an old dog new tricks : )  So much fun!!  Enjoy
