| the administration, SGA, and what it means to you...
You have been cheated, robbed of your voice. Quietly decisions are being made that directly effect you, your money, and your future. Where is your representation? SGA. According to the Student Government Association Constitution, SGA was formed to “…maintain an effective relationship between students and administration.” I challenge their fulfillment of this obligation. MVNU students and administration are out of touch, and this is due to the failure of SGA to bridge that gap. Our “representatives” might have a relationship with the administration, but the majority of the student body has no influence. Do you feel you have a voice? It is time for SGA to become more than just a social club. There are issues effecting this campus that need to be addressed. Whether it be the rules, fines, chapel, parking, or academics, the direction of this campus should not be dictated to us. If you are unhappy you have the right to be heard. This year when voting for your SGA representatives I urge you to vote for the non-establishment candidate and for those who are uncontested vote “no.” Don't sell out.

| Here's a little something that one of you huge Lemon fans put together. Good start.
Sadness Sweeps MVNU Campus
by contributing writer Talmud McPfiffer
Horrified students stood stunned outside of Regents/Faculty Hall, Monday, January 26th. "It was burning fine, and all of the sudden it just...stopped," said a horrified Cameron Sizemore, a junior at MVNU. After a highly scrutinized search by MVNU's physical plant, the cause for the sudden extinguish is still unknown.

Above, the not-so-Eternal Flame
"I'll be darned if I know" says Dan McDonald who investigated the scene. McDonald, who incidentally is also an MVNU alumni, says he remembers the Eternal Flame as being a symbol of MVNU "if there ever was one." The Eternal Flame was established by the Pioneer class of MVNU in 1968 and has burned bright ever since. Says 12-year faculty member, Dr. Dan Notbehr "I can't believe it went out. That flame has come to symbolize everything...[that this] campus holds dear." The student body is slowly recoiling from the effects of this tragedy, but solid ground is hard to come by. "I remember walking to the chapel every day, and seeing the flame burning bright and thinking 'man, as long as [it] keeps burning, I think everything will be ok,'" said freshman Ashlie Anderson. Anderson went on to say "Now that the flame is gone, I'm not sure what I can stand on." Although the Eternal Flame has been exterminated for the time being, the administration has kept their heads clear in the matter. "We won't let this go unnoticed" said one MVNU administrator, "and I'll be damned if those poor kids will see an unlit torch for Little Sibs Weekend, February 13-15th." Physical Plant was contacted and said they would fix the problem "whenever its most convenient for us."

| Here's an ad to place in the Lakeholm Viewer for the cafeteria.
Someone should let their editor know about this.

| Two posts in one day? Only on a special occasion like this one.
I was inspired a while ago by an MVNU student named Jewlz. She posted a comment on someone's website suggesting that someone start a Hate Group for Naz security.
This post is for feedback. We're starting a Naz Security Hate Group. Who wants to sign up?
Leave a comment and possibly your best reason for wanting to join, if you have a great one. And, click on over to Jewlz and thank her for the idea!
