Photoshop Project

Hey hey y'all!

I've been so busy with school. One of the classes I'm taking is photoshop. So I'm gunna show you guys a little of what I've done in photoshop. =)

So we made a movie poster. It's my favorite assignment so far. I'm very pleased with it. Thats me on the left, my friend Conner in the middle and Kimmy on the right. I'm actually in photoshop with Kimmy. And did I perhaps mention that I really liked my movie poster?

Both dresses are actually Eowyn from LotR. And the cape Conner is wearing is Frodo's. And the font is from LotR too.

We also had to design and put a label on a bottle. So all the people involved in intense sports have they super drinks (Gatorade, Powerade, etc). So I thought, "Hey, why don't the intense thinkers have a drink?" (it was pretty close to a math test =P). So I hath invented:

So the the drink was originally red but blue is way better cuz it's my favorite color and the cap was orange but green is way better cuz it's my second favorite color.

Today I had a substitute teacher. I love my current teacher but she talks a little too fast... and has a bit of a dry teaching style. But she's awesome. Buuuut this guy was waaaaaaaay awesome. He was just funny all the way through and even though we subconsciously felt overwhelmed we left grinning.

Hopefully I'll make it around to comment everyone. This upcoming week is realitively calm... I smell plotting. I think everyone has pop quizzes...

Laterz!

I fell so far off the earth I have returned! Hehe

Hello people persons!

Last semester was great and I learned a ton. I also made some awesome friends in dance class.

This semester I'm taking 17 units (maybe 18 if they open the English Lab up during a time when I'm NOT sitting IN English class). I'm taking English 300 (again but with Imes), Calculus (*grin* I got an A in preeeecaaalc ), Photoshop (with my friend Kimmy), Spanish 2 (with the same teacher from last year. Lopez is awesome!) and Beginning Guitar (um... interesting folks...).

This morning I went to Spanish class. I always love that class. Today he started a story (told strictly in Spanish) about well... the class. He's so funny! He was asking Tristan (fellow student) some questions about his life (like was his house big or small) and then they told us about a story about how Tristan had una fiesta (party) and he passed out invitations, PERO (he always stresses the word pero [but]) el profesor no recibe un invotasion. *grim, sad look* So he plans to get revenenge so he goes to Cinco Grande (Big 5 haha) where they amazingly have everything he needs on sale. Like botas de combat, boniculars,  panuelo (handkerchief) *imitates putting it on his head* and some other things like um... I think grenades may have been involved (though he never actually used them ) At la casa pequena de Tristan he climbed the tree outside and using his boniculars spied on us. I was "dancing disco" (hahaha! I'm the dancer of the class) and um... I think eating brownies. Yeah... he's quite interesting. We didn't have time to finish so I can hardly wait for tomorrow. Hahaha.

This afternoon I kinda helped my friend Nichole with her statistics homework. I've never had statistics but I was curious what as to what it looked like and it really wasn't too difficult and so I was able to help to some degree. Of course I imagine it gets a LOT harder.

Tonight I met some people from the intermediate guitar class. The intermediate and beginning classes meet at the same time. The teacher divides his time up half an hour with one then half an hour with the other. Then we have break and repeat the process. While he's with the other class we practice what we learned. It's pretty cool. So anywho... the people in intermediate are really cool. There's an older lady that looks just looks so sweet named Hazel; and David had an awesome blue guitar that he let me play during break. So now I can proudly say I've played a blue guitar.

Ooh... Calvin Greene has convinient office hours again this semester. Btw, Mark, I stopped by to say hi just for you. He says hi back.

So that's just part of one day. I'll talk to y'all later (hopefully )

Beatrice Is Introduced to the 21st Century... She's been a little behind the loop

I HAD had a post almost done but my comp needed to be turned off and I lost it...

And in answer to Amber and Mark I'm not exactly sure how one ballyhoos someone... but they did an awesome job of it.
And I'm feeling like 100%!

This evening, I have a true tale to tell all y'all about an insolent maiden that lives today and goes to college.
Now Monday started out like any normal Monday. Our maiden (who shall be known as Beatrice so as to protect the identity of those whose are idiots) got up at the customary ridiculous time in the morning, so she could go to Political Science. Meaning: science (the study of) poli (many) tics (annoying bloodsucking buggers). She continued through said routine and when evening fell, she left work for math class. The 16th century maiden sat with a dazed expression as Usha (the teacher) explained the difference between even and odd functions and other such confusing things. Afterward, maiden Beatrice was escorted by The Guards of Math Maidens to her equine, Bob. She left and noticed that her gas tank still registered empty (Bob magically transformed to a car... it was quite a sight) and the gas fairy had not paid her a visit. She sighed knowing she should stop for gas and grateful that she finally had time to make this much needed stop, though why she needed to constantly restock gas was beyond her at least... until now.
She reached the final light before the gas station. When the light turned green, Beatrice made a left turn. But Bob hadn't eaten in too long and the turn was too much and he died in the intersection. Thankfully, he was in his automobile form so he coasted out and into the middle of the street on the other side of the light. Beatrice was horrified.
It all made sense. The light next to the word EMPTY, the needle below the EMPTY line on the gauge. It all MEANT something... she had NO gas! And since that's what makes cars GO; cars would then STOP withOUT it! (I'm sure we're all indeed in shock)
Anywho... Beatrice scanned her phone list for any contacts nearby but she had none. They were all in 16th century England sleeping at this hour of night. So Beatrice locked the car and ran the rest of the way to the gas station which was basically all uphill.  Grrrr. Alas, the evil gas station had no gas can to lend her cuz the last person to borrow it took it. But the gal manning the station helped Beatrice make a makeshift gas can with a bucket and funnel.
A kind commoner offered to lend her a ride on his steed. So they galloped back to Bob who was now accompanied by a police officer on a pony and another police officer who was in a tank. Beatrice was, needless to say, scared of said tank. And the police officer (we'll call him Clarance) was in slight surprise to see Beatrice in her brgiht pink and green medieval, full length, poofy sleeved dress. Beatrice was sure she had no clue why he was so shocked. Doesn't everybody wear clothes like that? Well, they successfully got the gas into Bob. But it wasn't enough because of the awkward slope. So Clarance got into his great tank and pushed Bob to a curb which was level. The commoner suggested we try again since we were off the slope. Bob worked!!!! So Clarance drove behind Bob and Beatrice as they drove to the gas station. Now commonly, when there is a red light people STOP. Not when you're driving with Clarance you don't. So Beatrice probably blew the only red light she will ever legally blow. And entered the gas station from the exit so she didn't have to bother going all the way around.
When Bob and Beatrice traveled back to the 16th century, Queen Myrtle told her daughter she would have to feed Bob more often. No duh.

I'm So Sick

Hey you peoples! I is not feeling overly wellish latelyz. I got a cold (probably at school) and have been feeling very lazy and stuffed up. I had to leave class a few times today to clear my nose. I think it has also made me inordinately hungry. *eyes pantry* I'm hoping to be better by Sunday so as not to spread the joy to anyone else. Please pray it won't spread to the rest of the fam and get Victoria sick!!! :-\

School went better this week. I dropped my English class so I have more time on my hands. The day I dropped Mrs. Malloy (my boss and, as it turns out, my neighbor ) asked if I had free time Mon-Thurs to work before/at noon (which was my English lecture time). So now instead of sitting and being assigned homework I get to sit and help people with homework. And if no one is there I'll do my own.
I've run into two math tutors that teach some the different calculus levels. Brad's and Marks much ballyhooed Calvin and Tim. I really want to take Calvin (he's rather funny) next semester but don't know if he'll be teaching my class. When I was working I saw Tim handing out math tests to the online students (online students take their tests where I work). He was a kind of a foreboding looking figure with an incredibly deep voice which added to his intimidatingness and he looked like he belonged on a basketball court or maybe football field rather than handing out flimsy pieces of paper. I needed a bit of homework help so I dared to approach the great figure and he was able to provide clear instruction and he was pretty nice. So he's now my back up choice for calc teachers next semester. My current math class is at night so I have paired up with someone nice enough to walk to my car with me.
I have a friend named Grace that I go to church with and now we're taking the same Spanish and dance lessons together. We're having a lot of fun together with the classes. I'm thinking of taking a camera to school so I can take pix of the Gracie duo for Mom and you guys.

Not the most interesting update but an update non the less.

One week down... ninety-fivish to go ;-)

  I got baptized!

It was really cool that I got to be baptized in a river rather than a pool. It's got more um... ambiance that way. Mom got baptized in that same river seventeen years ago almost to the day. So she was actually pregnant with me. How's that for odd?

Me and my friend Molly..

With that exciting bit of news behind us I must say that I'm truly sorry for taking so long to update!
Guess what! I lived through my first week of school! (Giving high points for that) I was supposed to write an English paper and turn it in my second day of school but I didn't comprendo el scheduleo and so I had no paper to hand in. But someone let me read their paper to get the gist of what I was writing and the teacher let me write it during class. So the teacher probably doesn't have a very good impression so far I'm afraid. =S
Everything else is going well though. I have 16 units and I applied for a job to work in the tutor lab to help people with homework. The lady told me I definitely got the job... the government's paperwork just needs to be processed. I'll probably start early/mid September.

Well that's it for now, folks. I know it looks like I hardly did anything but my time has been spent doing worthwhile things! I just am no longer sure of exactly what they are.
