Yogurt MakingIt was a success! The reviews were definitely correct. The outcome is just as good as the store bought yogurt, except 5 times cheaper. Yum Yum!!! I went to WholeFood to buy Organic Milk, Non-fat Goat Milk Powder (easier to digest), Organic Plain Yogurt (only as a starter). They were all on sale. Perfect Timing!
Procedure: 1. Heat the milk to 180 degrees in low heat. 2. Cool the milk down to 110 degress in the refrigerator. (20 mins) Preheat the incubator.
3. Stir in the plain yogurt slowly. (Next batch I will use my homemade yogurt as a starter.)
4. Pour into the incubator. Put it into the R2D2 and wait for 4 hours.
5. Put it in the refrigerator to thicken. Next morning, you have Homemade Yogurt. How easy is that!!!! The consistency is PERFECT! Looks like "tofu flower" but it looks creamy after I mix it.
6. Mix in fresh Strawberry Jam (no sugar added). I have strawberry yogurt for the next three days. See how creamy they look!!! The containers you see in the pictures is actually in Quart (32oz). About 5.3 times bigger than the small individual bottle (6oz). The homemade yogurt contains more active cultures than the Yoplait you buy from grocery store AND these have no coloring or preservatives.
THOUGHT OF THE DAY: If I can afford it, I want to be a stay home mom to take care of my future kids. Every kid derserves the best from their mom. I will hate to go home tired and have no energy to spare for the little ones, ESPECIALLY when my hubby wants THREE. We actually considered selling the house and buy a condo in the same area inorder to live on one income. Still debating...endless debate. Oh..us..of little faith! |
