La Blog Es Mort

...pardon my French.

Rather than continually overhauling this blog, and dealing with the fact that it really is random things that are rather than those that aren't, I request my gentle (or otherwise) readers, if they continue their interest in me (highly unlikely) to continue their reading

HERE

Thank you.

I have mentioned my appreciation for the artists at Worth1000.com before, no? Anyway.

State: High Amusion

Looking through the stuff shared on the school network, I ran across some stuff by a band called Eagles of Death. Now, the music isn't that great, but I love the name of the band!

More on Newspaper Work

A couple of notes, here.

1) If you ever have a chance to read the Hillsdale Collegian, do. But not if you're the kind of person inclined to complain loudly about bad writing. Probably 50% of the articles contain English mangled in an attempt to sound journalistic.

1)A) I am being slightly pessimistic. And I indict myself.

2) I have a love/hate relationship with newspaper work. I hate the kind of work it requires, the mindset you have to write in, etc. But somehow, the only thing more satisfying than getting an article finished that I can think of would be getting my philosophy prof to say, "I'll have to think about that one."

Sometimes I Scare Myself

Okay, so I was walking back after classes today, wondering how Hillsdale did at the cross-country meet last Friday (which, incidentally, I need to write about). So I say "Third... no, not that well. Seventh," and promptly forget about it. So, I open up my e-mail to check on various things, including the usual e-mail from the coach, and what do you know?

We took seventh.

Now, I'm good with numbers. But seriously here...
