Name: Carlos Country: United States State: California Birthday: 4/7/1987 Gender: Male
Interests: Music is a big one...I play clarinet, tenor sax, drums, guitar, and piano. And I need to pick up a flute sometime...Paintball is another fun pastime. And while I'm at it, just about anything I do with my friends can qualify as a "hobby" of mine.
Expertise: Protector: You are the rook, the keystone, of your friends and family. They look to you for support and leadership. You don’t push for devotion or attention, but when the situation is dire, even the Idols and the Exhibitionists will turn to you. You are the trusted, the loved. You have the capacity to love more deeply than any other type, and are fiercely devoted to your friends and lovers. Highly idealistic, you would sacrifice anything for a person or cause you believe in. But you trust so deeply and compassionately that a betrayal could shatter you. Jealousy is your downfall, and sometimes you need to give people more space and not become so enamored. Be careful with whom you place your trust in, for a Protector’s broken heart will never fully heal. The world needs more of you but you are few. And sometimes it seems like you carry the weight of the world.

| My last Xanga entry:
In Loving Memory of Mr. Paul Shaghoian (1958—2004):
No words will ever fully express the emptiness that your departure from this world has left in my heart. No words will ever capture the appreciation and respect I have for you. There is nothing that I can say to change the course of life, and yet I would do anything to see your face again. To hear your voice again. To have you back with us, if just for one more day. Because in that day, I would tell you everything that I cannot tell you anymore.
You were a blessing to my life, and to countless others. You made music a passion, and you shared that passion with us. We are who we are today because of you. It is not because of us that we are the best in the nation. We did not build this legacy. It is because of you, and because of the gift of music that you granted us. We loved and respected you like a father. And you loved and respected us like your children. You taught us more than notes—you taught us of music. You taught us more than of music—you taught us of life. You taught us more than of life—you taught us of love. You are the best teacher I’ve ever had. It was an honor and a pleasure to play with you. Because you knew all along what it mean to “play” jazz. You poured your soul into everything you did. You changed me. I remember how I would look at you while you wailed on your trumpet and think, “How do you play like that? How does he do it? What’s his secret?” And you showed me. You showed us all.
I know that you are in Heaven right now, no doubt jamming with jazz giants like Coltrane, Miles, Ellington, and Armstrong. I know that you are watching over us, guiding us daily, just like you did on your stay on Earth. And God knows that when I die, I’m taking my sax right on up there to play alongside you once again.
I lost a father on April 16, 2004.
May you rest in peace, Paul Shaghoian.
You will be missed.
God bless. | | |
