Building a Foundation

The Nature of Truth

It is necessary, for both myself and those who stumble upon these writings, that I develop a solid foundation on which to build the structure of my thoughts. That foundation is simply this; that truth is irrefutably absolute. That is, that truth does not change from person to person, but rather that the supposed relativity of truth is supported only by skewed ideologies and differing personal opinions, which are, unbeknownst to the indifferent individual, both common misconceptions of truth. For if one advocates the relativity of truth, they must then accept the relativity of their own claims; if, however, one asserts the absolute nature of their claims, they have essentially and successfully refuted their own position.

The quest then becomes discovering this truth, as honestly and objectively as possible.
