You people have brought up some good points. Some very good points indeed. I'm glad that you like the site design, Smarter. Sk, you're right. Godliness is more important than tradition. That's why the protestants broke away from the Catholic church in the first place. The church tried to claim equal authority with scripture. Salt, if you're reading this and you have a blog, you are in no place to criticize me.
I wish I still had Aaron's email, I intended to post it, but then I delteted it. Yes, when mail is sent to Dormhill@cedarville.edu, I recieve it. If any of you hillians still have it, please post it, or forward it to my other email, the.hill.itself@gmail.com.
When you decided to come here to Cedarville, you did sign this community covenant:
We covenant together to express our love for God through our obedience to the authority of His Word, our practice of spiritual disciplines, and regular expressions of worship and Christian service.
We covenant together to express our love for others through acts of kindness, wholesome and uplifting speech, redemptive expressions of confrontation and forgiveness, merciful acts to those in need, and loving proclamation of the gospel.
We covenant together to be people of integrity and self-control, truthful in our speech, honest in our conduct, and morally pure in both thought and action.
We covenant together to pursue excellence in all that we do as an expression of our gratitude to God and our desire to be good stewards of all God’s gifts, including our talents, time, and resources.
As members of this community, we voluntarily submit ourselves to all of the guidelines in “The Cedarville Experience” and agree to uphold them with integrity and honesty. The implications of this Covenant to a variety of campus life issues will be discussed throughout The Cedarville Experience. All students are expected not only to honor the Covenant, but also to promote it by providing accountability and, when necessary, correction to their friends and peers.
I know you all like to have fun and games, but there are limits. I still don't agree with the cancelation of the King of the Hill contest, I see no reason for you to boycott the Grill, even if it is the "word in the dorms." You have no bargaining power, what's Andy going to do if you don't come, go home and cry? I would doubt it. I'm frustrated with the division among you, you make me dissapointed. |
