I see the tears stream down your cheek
I wonder what could cuase you such pain
I see your broken heart through the blur of your tears
I wonder how strong that love must have been to leave such a whole in your heart
I try to reach out to wipe the tears from your face
but your hand meets mine in a cold touch of our fingers
I am stunned to realize it is only a mirror that I wish to touch, to try to heal
what has caused so much pain?
What makes these tears come to my eyes?
I thought I was through with my tears for you
but all I did was hid my love for you
I wish I wish once again that you might be mine.
As I stare into the mirror at myself before I sleep
I wonder what brought my tears to me on bended knee.
My heart needs to know where did the love go,
for my tear stained cheeks to become whole again.
