I recognize the fact that I have been absent for a rather long time and I some what apologize for this fact.

The fact of the matter is I have been, for the most part, been working 12-15 hours each day at the store. My last paycheck showed that I worked 85 hours in two weeks. I have almost nothing outside of work, on my days off I am usually so exhausted that I don't want to do anything at all, which is is probably why I have basically disappeared from normal every day life.

You may wonder why I am working so much and to this query I have two answers. One: I am the only reason the kitchen does not fall apart. This is because our apps guy is good but immature, our desserts guy is good but immature, and my boss/grill guy is not very good at working on the line (he doesn't like to). Two: The U.S. Senior Open is coming next week and we are going to get all of the business from the golfers, the press, and the rich people who come to watch the Open. This directly relates to reason number one as it has added a considerable amount to my already full workload.

Anyway, for those of you who don't know I have decided to attend Bethel College in North Newton. I recieved scholarships to study chemistry there so my declared major is chemistry with an emphasis on medicinal and biological chemistry and possibly a minor ethics. It will be alot of work but it will be fun, science has always been one of my stronger academic points and it is something that I enjoy doing and can apply to many other aspects of my life. However, rather or not I use the degree in chemistry or not is an entirely different story, I still have absolutely no idea what I am going to do once I finish at Bethel.

Regardless, I am about to pass out on the key board so I need to go get some sleep before work tomorow, so I will see you all around.

If You Fall

(From the album "EL CORAZON")

I saw you lookin' at that girl like that
I saw her too boy I know right where you're at
But you better be careful
'Cause she ain't the kind you're gonna forget
How much you wanna bet

Chorus:
If you fall in love
Nothin's gonna be the same
You walk around callin' out her name
Throw your heart down like a glove
Push comes to shove
You only end up lonely and blue
Whenever she's away from you If you fall in love

You gotta hear me talkin' to ya
'Cause I'm your best friend
And I'd hate to see you goin'
Where I've already been
'Cause I've been in love before
And I won't ever be the same again
You better listen to me, Jim

Chorus

There she is again
She sure looks fine
Boy, I know you're walkin'
On a very thin line
So I guess it's up to me
'Cause your heart's not as strong as mine
Well just this one time

Chorus

I Still Carry You Around

(From the album "EL CORAZON")

Sweetheart last night I dreamed of you
You loved me like you used to do
Mornin' come and I woke up and found
I still carry you around

Chorus:
I still carry you around
Everywhere I travel now
No matter how I try to put you down
I still carry you around

I still just can't believe you're gone
Your memory haunts me from now on
I walk the streets of this old lonely town
I still carry you around

Chorus

You're with me everywhere I go
In my heart and in my soul
Down every road, no matter where I'm bound
I still carry you around

Chorus

It's Christmastime in Washington
The Democrats rehearsed
Gettin' into gear for four more years
Things not gettin' worse
The Republicans drink whiskey neat
And thanked their lucky stars
They said, 'He cannot seek another term
They'll be no more FDRs'
I sat home in Tennessee
Staring at the screen
With an uneasy feeling in my chest
And I'm wonderin' what it means

Chorus:
So come back Woody Guthrie
Come back to us now
Tear your eyes from paradise
And rise again somehow
If you run into Jesus
Maybe he can help you out
Come back Woody Guthrie to us now

I followed in your footsteps once
Back in my travelin' days
Somewhere I failed to find your trail
Now I'm stumblin' through the haze
But there's killers on the highway now
And a man can't get around
So I sold my soul for wheels that roll
Now I'm stuck here in this town

Chorus

There's foxes in the hen house
Cows out in the corn
The unions have been busted
Their proud red banners torn
To listen to the radio
You'd think that all was well
But you and me and Cisco know
It's going straight to hell

So come back, Emma Goldman
Rise up, old Joe Hill
The barracades are goin' up
They cannot break our will
Come back to us, Malcolm X
And Martin Luther King
We're marching into Selma
As the bells of freedom ring

Chorus

"Freakshow"

life in the circus ain't easy
but the folks on the outside don't know
the tent goes up and the tent comes down
and all that they see is the show
and the ladies on the horses look so pretty
and the lions are lookin real mad
and some of the clowns are happy
and some of the clowns are sad

but underneath
there's another expression
that the makeup isn't making
life under the big top
it's about freedom
it's about faking
there's an art to the laughter
there's a science
and there's a lot of love
and compliance

welcoem to the freakshow
here we go...

we live to hear the slack-jawed gasping
we live under a halo of held breath
and when the children raise up a giant shield
of laughter, it's like they're fending off death
and we can make somethig bigger
then anyone of us alone
and then the clowns will take off their makeup
and the people will go home

but life on the outside ain't easy
no sequins, no elephants,
no parading around
yeah, the tent goes up
and the tent comes down
and they're stuck in this fucking town

you need a lot of love and compliance

welcome to the freakshow
here we go
