| Here is another thought that was presented to me one sunday moring service.
When life is bogging you down where do you turn? We sould turn to God cause he is the one who can solve all of our problems, but we so often forget that. Recall back to the story of Jonah and how he was tossed overboard and swallowed by a GIANT fish. So your thinkin if anything could bring me to my knees it would be: being thrown overboard and swallowed by a fish. I mean have you ever smelled a fish, yeah not pleasent. If we take it to scripture thought it says in Jonah 1:17-2:1 that it took Jonah 3 <DAYS to pray. Your probibly thinking how stupid was he, being swallowed by a fish and not asking God to get him out of there or somthing. Wait...hold on...how many days do we spend in our problems before we take it to God? Most likely more than three. We all have those things we think we can get ourselfves out of, but the truth is that we can't unless we turn to God. Like Jonah we have to relise that we cant get out of the fish alone. In Jonah 2:7 it says that Jonah "remembered the Lord" and that when he did (vs. 10) God heard his prayer and made the fish spit him out. We have to remember God and turn to him with our BEST. Here is what our BEST is. Beliefs Emotions Situations Trust Because if we dont then we will stay swimming around in the fish a.k.a. life. But if we take all of this to God he will deliver us and raise our heads.
Verses to reflect on: Psalm 3 Jonah 2:7-10 | | |

| Here is a thought that I heard on Christian radio and thought was important for all of us to know:
People have always said "The grass is greener on the other side"; Well as Christians we are on God's side. Even though somtimes being on the other side (the sinfull one) may look fun and seem like the thing to do, it says in 1 Peter 1:24-25 "For 'All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord stands forever." So if we stay in the Lord we will be able to stand strong. After those people who "looked" like they were having fun fall, they will see us. They will ask us why we are stong. This then prepares a heart to recieve the word. So the next time the grass looks greener, just remember one day it will fall and wither. Stand strong.
***Here is a challenge for this upcoming month; it will help you stay in the word: Open your Bible to Proverbs and starting on the first of the month read chapter 1 then on the second read chapter two...do you see a pattern. Well thats right read a Proverb a day. Since there are 31 that is the perfect amount for the whole month. So hop on it with us. If you forget a chapter one day just read it the next...i encourage not skipping. Have fun, and let God move in you.***
Make it a prayer this week to constantly open doors in your heart for Christ to enter.
