Summer.

Monday, May 23, 2005

Simply 3 additional days of my journey as a Junior in high school.

Seems like just yesterday I began this phenomenon we call school.  I set off into kindergarten in the company of my way chic see-through backpack and a cumbersome bow in my hair and strolled through the doors of Prairie View Elementary.

Now I get the stroke of luck to saunter through the consecrated doors of Miss Taylor...

Sitting in the bleachers yesterday, I dumbfounded myself. When I was younger, I always considered  seniors to be grown up and established adults.  Realizing that I am now one of them…I have no feeling of being grown-up or mature at all.  I’m still the kindergartener with the see-through backpack.  Just the other day I was contemplating about bringin that puppy out.  The next graduation I will no longer be sporting black and white.  I will be present in red, with a cap.  The next instance of commencement at BRCS will not be one of my fellow upperclassmen.  But one that is none other than mine.  I, in next to no time, less than a year, will be walking across the rostrum bestowing my Valedictorian speech.  (That is how you spell it right? J)  HA!  In the anticipation of that day, only one thing can be done.

Keep on keeping on,

Vanessa Rae Roher

so the seniors are gone. i'm glad...but i'm sad. i liked some of em. others...not so much. today..i was just like...heck...the seniors are gone, schools almost over, i'm just gonna blow everything off and just quit studying and trying and stuff. (i think this can be diagnosed as senioritis...early stages). But then... Destinee...my former team-mate and a very funny person, yelled at me across the library, "FINISH STRONG". She's a smart girl.

My brother is moving out tomorrow...then he graduates on saturday from college. She's taking him away....sad times....ah well....just how it rolls.

I'm still thinking about state. That was awesome. I dunno which one was better...beating them in bball twice...championship game at state and again at the game that should have been championship at tristate or beating them in soccer at state when they thought that they were gonna win and seeing Shannon Zalufag cry. Both times brought such a feeling of satisfaction to the very depths of my bones that i cannot choose.

So i'm a little unsure about my job plans for the summer. Mr Weid says that they might not even need me. It's not really that big of a deal cuz i'd like it either way. Working 9am-6pm isn't what u'd call a dream job....but it had it's perks. I'll find out in the next few weeks. i'm sure ur all waiting in anticipation.

well keep on keepin on and leave one.
