| Lot's of New Things... ;)I posted this on myspace, and then I remember that I have xanga, too... I thought ya'll should know what's new
Life can change in an instant... things have changed QUITE a bit within the last two weeks...
* First of all, I have a new position at my current job.
Cheryl, my side kick, left the bank. She was hired at a different
place... so, her position as New Accounts Rep was open. Dave, my boss,
asked me if I'd like to take her place. What was I to say? No? LoL...
So, I am now a New Accounts Rep along with the Senior CSR.
* Second, Brad now has a second job...
If you didn't know, he is an Assistant Team Leader at RGIS Inventory
Services. He loves his job and the position he has. The only problem is
that he doesn't always get consistent hours. So, he applied at Dick's
Sporting Goods at the Franklin Park (or Westfield! LoL!) Mall, where
his best friend, Adam works. He got hired a couple days later. It's
really exciting for us both! :) I'm very proud of him!
* Third, Brad and I made an offer on a Condo out in Northwood, Ohio, and the offer was accepted.
Our closing is scheduled for May 30, if not a week or two sooner. We
are SOOOOO excited!! This will be Brad and I's first REAL home... the
apartments have been like hell, so we are looking forward to having a
nice, relaxing, beautiful, peaceful place to live that's actually
ours!! (And, saying good bye to our noisy, nasty neighbors will be
nice, too!! LoL! )
*
Fourth, and last, Brad and I now have our wedding rings... so,
everything is happening!! LoL! Not that I thought it wouldn't or
anything!! LoL! We
bought Brad's ring last weekend, and today, Brad decided that he was
trading my engagement ring/wedding band in for a new model... What a pleasant surprise ...
And, I can't believe we only have a little over four months to go with
sooo much to do... ahhh... but, it'll be wonderful!! And, I am looking
forward to my new life with Brad... he's such a sweetheart, and I love
him with all of my heart!!
I
guess that's about it... God has really been blessing Brad and I
lately... I am impressed with how things are turning out... sometimes,
I don't understand why certain things happen, and I question God. But,
I know that I should count my blessings and praise God for all the
great things/opportunities I have!! I love ya'll, and I hope to talk to you guys soon!!
| Bet ya thought I disappeared... Wow... I cannot believe how long it's been since I've written on xanga!!! Dang... LoL! Lots of things have changed since I last had written... here's somewhat of a detailed idea of what has been going on:
1. First of all, I have changed positions (well, sort of) at the bank. I'm still working for First Federal... but, a little over a month ago, I was asked to come to the Oregon branch. Basically, they were in need of help because the Asst. Branch Manager was going to be gone on maternity leave. So, I went through New Accounts training, am running the teller line (for the most part), and I've been doing quite a few of extra duties that Julie normally did before she left on leave. Basically, I am doing a LOT of work... it's kind of a trade off... I am close to home, I get to come home for lunch, I know a lot of the customers (from living in Oregon and from floating before), I get to open new accounts, and I get to pretty much run the operational stuff at the branch. I absolutely love that!! I really do!! On the other hand, it was REALLY hard for me to step down from my floating position... I got mileage, drive time, and I still got to work at the Genoa branch (where I will ALWAYS call home... *sigh* ). And, I've been picking up a lot of work and really haven't gotten much in way of compensation... But, I have to remind myself that this experience will help me along the way (I hope!! LoL!)...
2. Besides the changes at work, the wedding plans have been changing, too! The main details have remained (ie: The church is still East Toledo Baptist Church; the Pastor is still Don Black, Brad's best friend's Dad and pastor at ETBC; and the Reception is still at Robert's in Millbury)... however, the colors have changed, the bridesmaids dresses have changed, I have gotten my dress, we have a DJ, and we may possibly have a cake decorator. The only BIG thing we need is a photographer... we have been given a lot of suggestions, but we can't afford much... we're pretty much paying for this wedding by ourselves. If you have ANY suggestions for a photographer, let us know!! We're desperate!! LoL!
So, speaking of the color changes... our new colors are a teal-like color and lime green. Most people think the colors sound hideous together... but, really, they're gorgeous!! We have our flowers, and our centerpieces are complete, too... everything looks awesome with the colors we have chosen!! I am SOOO excited!! Here are the girls' dresses:
That's actually the "teal-like" color I was refering to... The girls look beautiful in the dresses, too!! And, best yet... we all bought our dresses for around $80 each... Yes, even my dress was only $83!! I am SOOO excited!! I have to have a little added to the dress, but it's gorgeous!! And, here is the guy's vests... the picture doesn't quite do justice, though. The green is bright, and it's SOOO pretty!! :) The plans are all coming together at a nice pace!! :) Brad and I are both REALLY excited!! :) 3. I started Weight Watchers about seven weeks ago... I am doing very good, too! I have lost 16.4 lbs to date!! I'm excited!! I'll keep ya posted on my weight loss, too, as it changes!! Well, that's it for me... I can't think of anything else to say... I will try and keep everyone updated on things!! Oh, I know... one more thing... Check out my My Space... I just got one about a month ago... it's fun reconnecting with friends Okay, I'm going now... talk to ya'll soon!!
| Well, I'm excited!!! Finally, the wedding plans are coming together...
*We have a new hall that's available on September 16, 2006, the original date that we had planned.
*I have chosen the three ladies who I would be honored to have in my wedding (2 of which I had already decided on a longgg time ago ): Heather Heisinger (Maid of Honor), Alyssa Markley-Black (Matron of Honor), and Callie Yip (Bridesmaid)... I am SOOO excited!!
*I finally decided and purchased bridesmaids dresses -- let me explain... I ABSOLUTELY love the store Torrid. I have had my eye on about three different dresses to be the bridesmaids dresses... well, tonight, Callie and I went to Franklin Park Mall... we went into Torrid, and my absolute favorite dress was on clearance... I had Callie try it on, and I LOVED the way it looked. So, I bought Alyssa and Heather's dress, and Callie bought hers. I am EXCITED!! I just hope the dress looks as beautiful on the other two girls as it did on Callie!! Here's the dress:
I am SOOO excited again... tonight has re-ignited my excitement and enthusiasm for this wedding ... Thank you, Callie, for the nice evening!! Talk to you all soon!! I'll keep you posted... later gators!!

| I feel SOOO happy today... and blessed. God is GOOD Nothing in particular... He's just spectacular... He seems to send the right people at the exact right times... I felt very encouraged today at church by a co-worker... God really worked through her to make my day I just can finally see things coming together... thank you, God, for the blessings and even for the hard times...

| Well, hello again... it's been almost a week since I've written... This week has been, to say the least, beautiful... it's been full of action and fun...
1. Brad got a promotion at work (RGIS) to an assistant team leader. It's a little more responsibility and a little more pay. I'm REALLY excited for him... I don't think he realizes exactly how excited I really am... I think maybe he's finally found his niche... I just wish he had a more steady amount of work every week. But, life can never be perfect and will never give you everything you ask for.
2. I got to have two fun get-togethers for Christmas at Brad's Aunt Val's house. The food was fabulous, and the presents were great ;) I always love getting together with Brad's extended family. They're all really nice and interesting people for the most part! I had a nice talk with his Aunt Val, and she really seems to care about us. To me, that's really special... especially because I didn't have any family except for my parents that wanted anything to do with me. I am really understanding the importance of family and the benefits of having a large and extended family... it's fun, really. Yeah, I realize they're "in-laws," but I love them anyway ;)
3. I found out that Brad's Mom Sue may possibly be getting engaged for Christmas. To me, that would be quite exciting -- that would mean two things: a. Brad, Brad's brother Nick, and Sue would all be engaged at the same time; and b. Brad would have three more siblings to add to the list... that's a lot! LoL! He already has his biological brother Nick, his half sister Tina, and then 3 step sisters. That would mean 3 more step brothers... that's 8!! Man... LoL! And, I'm an only child... LoL! ;)
4. I got to see two childhood friends of mine the other night. Chris Zasada and Chris Selmek... They're always great to be around -- I haven't seen Selmek since my high school graduation party because he went off to the Army. Last I saw Zasada was in May. I'm really happy to meet back up with them and keep in touch ;) I really feel that they're the type of friends that I know are always there, whether they're literally standing next to me or not. They're special ;)
5. Brad and I got to spend some fun time with our best friends, Adam and Alyssa, and with Jennifer, her daughter Savanna, April, and her newborn baby son Alex. We had a lot of fun with them all ;) We had a game and dinner night -- we played Malarky, ate homemade tuna casserole, and watched Elf (one of our Christmas presents from Adam and Alyssa!!)... I love my friends... they're very special to me ;)
Well, I think that about does it... my brain and head are exhausted from this event-filled week. I am VERY happy that everything happened, though... This week made me smile ;) Merry Christmas to everyone!!! I hope you have a beautiful day with family and friends!!! Love you guys ;) God bless!!
