I just finished this book. It doesn't focus on John at all, but on the new Spartan 3's who are being trained on the remote Forerrunner world called Onyx. I highly recommend this book and its prequals. It's really good and should be read by all Halo fans. By the way I can't wait for HALO 3 to come out!
