| Gah, thanks to Brian's MySpace profile, I've got Fat Bottomed Girls stuck in my head. Not always the best song to be singing in public unless you are amongst Queen fans This weekend shall be my first shooting match in almost a year. I'm still thinking and debating about how much high power I actually want to do this year, and how much I'm doing just out of habit/keeping the peace. So yes, much wise guru thinking going on here, lol. Perry so far is looking like a no go. Most of my team is not going, so that mostly rules out the first week, and we only stay for the second because we're already there for the first. Bah. And your friends and teammates are what makes shooting fun, and without them, it's not so much fun. Then, you're just around crotchety old farts who hate young people as mentioned in blog below. Not fabulous... But, I'm just kinda gonna wait and see how things go. Oh, and as punishment for shooting Sunday on Mother's Day, it's looking like there's going to be rain and thunderstorms in the area. Oh, joy. Nice, long, delayed kinda match. Pshhh... Ha, and they said for the team practice "we'll shoot 200 yards and get sight settings, and then move back to 300 and 600 yards if we have time" flakdfjlsapoeu;laughkanf;ldj;laeoia We can shoot 200 yards just about anywhere, the opportunity to get practice at 300 & 600 yards is the whole reason we travel 4 1/2 hours. Gargh... Super fun summer intensive at our studio in just about a month. I'm so excited because Diane is putting it on, and it'll just be us from the studio doing it, so there's not going to be a bunch of perfect people around to make us nervous Vair, vair long days though.... We're there from 9:30am (poo) to 1:30pm dancing, video taping dancing, music and choreography practice, and some history of ballet thrown in there. We do that Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday. Plus, regular classes after all that. Whew! Much gas shall be burned, and many dinosaurs killed driving out there everyday. | | |
| So today I'm going to shoot for the first time since Perry. Almost a year, now that's scary. Ack! I think it's quite possible I've forgotten how to shoot entirely, which is going to suck for Johnny He and I are heading out to the range at noon and are gonna stay until four, praying the entire time no old farts come out there and yell at us for being young. Why do some people hate kids for the simple fact that they're young? God, how are we supposed to get life experience and stuff? Bah... We're also probably going out there tomorrow, and then shooting in the OMGC match on Sunday. And after that, if we still feel like we fail at life, we can go out one more time or two before the twelfth. Why, oh why, did they schedule that on Mother's Day weekend?! What is wrong with them? Still attempting to figure out ammo for next weekend. Hmm... Don't know what I'm gonna do about that. *sobs* Gr, so right after shooting for four hours today, I have to head home to shower and change, and then drive my butt out to the Redlands and dance for two and a half hours. I shall be le dead. I'll have to get a double cheeseburger or somefink of a food like substance on the way there.... Well, I had better get dressed and do school and all that jazz. Later peoples! Wish me luck, I'm gonna need all I can get | | |
| Pretty new peaceful background. Ahhh.... I got up at 2:00 am on Saturday to be in Parker Colorado by 7:30 am for a how-to-homeschool-through-highschool-thingum. 'Twas tres lame, and the last speaker of the 6 hour conference was the only one worth listening to. She was the person with the information everybody came for. Credits, and scholarships and such. Everybody else was just like "You can do it!!!!!" Entirely too much caffine was floating around in that room is all I can say. But we did get to spend the night there, not drive home right away. I think we would've ended up in a massive wreck if we had tried to drive home that day... Anyways, my sleep schedule is all whacked out now. So going to dance for my make-up lesson is going to be vair interesting. I need to get me one of those Caffine Patches off of Meet the Robinsons. Yes, hmmm.... | | |
| Here's an update just for Miss Christine. I didn't think anybody much read this, so I've just been keeping up my MySpace blog. Now that I know one person reads this, I shall faithfully copy and paste my blogs from now on! Bah, so I basically suck at writing in this, lol. Far too busy lately to just sit down and write, but I've got a couple of minutes this morning. Not a ton new going on, lots and lots of dance. We're doing a bunch of great new pieces for our Dancing Princesses thing. It seriously sounds stupid and like a Barbie movie, but it's pretty much the polar opposite of that. We finished our Katchiturian (thank you Google spell check) piece, it turned out really awesome. Now if everybody would just start coming to rehearsals and remembering the choreography! We also started on two more, one in a gypsy camp setting, and one with the little girls as our ladies in waiting. They're so adorable! And then this Saturday, Alex has the day off, so we're starting on some sort of piece involving fans that has only girls in it (sorry buddy, lol) So all that should be really fun! Alexa and I (hopefully with Johnny as our bodyguard if he and his sister get better) are heading up to Ouray this Wednesday for the day. Hot springs, Italian food, oh, and cheese balls in Delta. 'Tis going to be tres delightful We're going to have to go up another time too, and take Rachael with us since she hasn't ever been either. I just cannot believe how many people who live here haven't ever been to Ouray before ! Shooting season is starting up here soon, and I'm way unprepared. I'm going out to break in my barrel hur in the next few days, so that should help get the ball rolling some. Still trying to figure out my ammo situation, so we'll see what happens with that. Apparently, Black Hills isn't selling their ammo to civilians anymore, just sending it all off to the military. So double boo for all of us... But our first state team practice is May 12th, and an 80 shot match the next day. Those guys really messed up though, having a match on Mother's Day. They're really gonna hear about this one... | | |
