| On Thursday, I went to the State Fair and caroused about. Well,
not caroused... since there wasn't much to drink. But we ate
and.. played.. and ate.. and.. shopped. It was great.
On Friday.. I headed off to SF to take my ISYS test and don't know how
I did... I'll find out on Wednesday. After that, I headed off to
Chinatown to help my mom buy some stuff. My brother got off work
at 6:30 and meeted up w/ me to take me out to dinner. We ate at
this place called Calzone in North Beach. It was okay. Then
I headed off to my brother's apartment and saw his place for the first
time. Very nice. 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom, 1 kitchen, & a
living room. I also met one of his roommates, Emily. I saw
pictures of her before from my brother's Cancun trip. Speaking of
Cancun.. i want to go there someday. Overall, it was nice... but
driving is such a pain in the butt... literally!!!
Okay... I'm heading off to go buy some last minute stuff now.... gotta move tomorrow!!!

| So much has happened since the last time i wrote in here!!! When
was the last time I wrote in here???? ::Going back to check::....
AH.. May 22nd. Wow.. that was a LONG time ago. Okay,
correction.... back from my TWO wonderful trips!!!
China was hot & humid, but extremely fun. First time on
another continent. My mom and I left on May 28th & came back
a week later, only for me to start summer school practically the next
day. I believe I had only one day to recooperate and get myself
back together.
I just got back from Las Vegas and Disneyland yesterday!!! It was
SO fun... I didn't want to leave, but unfortunately, I had to!!!
::SOB:: At Las Vegas a.k.a "Sin City" (First time in another
STATE!!!)... we visted the Rio and Ant's dad treated us all to a
Seafood buffet that costed $38 per person. I had a Tequila
Sunrise. The next day was Ant's 21st Bday, so we visited all the
casinos... Caeser's Palace, Treasure Island, MGM Grand, The
Mirage, Eiffel Tower, etc. At the Eiffel Tower, Ant's brother
bought him his first drink, Long Island.. and I got the Sex on the
Beach. The bartender was EXTREMELY rude.... rolled his eyes &
everything.. argued w/ us that Ant's brother did not order a drink and
that's why he didn't make it. After that, Ant & I walked...
and walked... and walked... and walked. I'm saying it's the
drinks, because Ant & I had walked so far (while laughing at
everything) that we had to call his dad & have him pick us up on
the other side of the strip. We just couldn't walk back
anymore. The alcohol wore off.
For dinner that night, we went hunting for a restaurant, but it was
difficult considering it was a Saturday. Ant & I were grumpy
at everyone b/c we didn't eat since breakfast @ 9:00am & by that
time, it was around 10:00pm. We had walked ALL day, with no stops
and no food. We finally found a nice lil cafe at Caeser's Palace,
which turned out to be VERY good!!! I got myself a Portobello
Panini... YUMMY!!! I had my first Tequila Shot & it was
GREAT!!!! I ordered a Kamikaze and Ant ordered a
Screwdriver. After that, Ant & I went off to try winning some
money. After walking for almost 2 hours, we went to get ourselves
a Cosmo & a Blue Lagoon, which the bartender didn't make that well.
The next day, we drove off to Disneyland and kicked it at Downtown
Disney. We reserved a spot & the Rainforest Cafe and then
headed over to ESPN & ordered ourselves a Long Island and
Cosmo. Now THAT was a good Cosmo. I was buzzed... and...
everything was hilarious!!! I accidentally dropped the lemon rind from
the 2nd floor onto the bar on the bottom floor. HAHAHAHAHA....
oops. We then had dinner at the Rainforest Cafe &
I ordered a Green Python & Ant ordered a Mongoose Mai Tai with
those flashing souveneir cups!!!
When we woke up, we headed to Disneyland & had a BLAST!!! We
ate at the Blue Bayou, which is reputed to have a delicious Monte
Cristo Sandwich. HMMMMMMMMMMMM, so good, but SOOOOOOOOOOOO
BAD!!!! Deep fried ham & swiss sandwich with powdered sugar
& jam. YUMMMMMY!!!! I got myself the Jabalaya. We
went at 11:30am to make our reservations & the earliest they could
get us in for lunch was at 3:20pm!!! It was an EXTREMELY long
wait. Shows how popular they are!!!!
::sigh::.................................................. so
depressing to have to go home when you're having so much fun.
Going home means going back to reality. ::SIGH::.
Nonetheless, great memories for my last week in Stockton.
For those 5 days, while drinking and gambling... Ant has only been
carded TWICE!!! Once was only b/c he was standing around the
casino (not gambling) and the other time was when *I* ordered him a
drink. So those times he ordered drinks and played at the slots,
no one carded him AT ALL!!! Why is that? He doesn't look
THAT old!!! HAHAHA.

| You know you're getting old when it makes you happy when someone thinks you're younger than you really are and when you tell them your age, they don't believe you.
I was at WinCo, looking over their wine selection, when this older worker there jokingly said to me "You're too young to be looking at these"... and.. i looked at him and said... "no i'm not". And so the arguing continues...
Man: "::Hesitates::... i was just joking [about you not being able to view these]. You are not old enough to be able to drink these!!!
Me: "Yes i am"
Man: "No you're not..... ... you cannot be over than fif-... How old are you????"
Me: "21"
Man: "Noooo..... you can't be!!! I can't believe this... you look so young! I was thinking (when he was stocking up the ice) 'what is that little girl doing looking at those?'"
And then he proceeded to leave and i heard him overtalking to one of his co-workers on the aisle over.... so i left before I became a showcase for everyone. It made my day!!!!! It makes me SO happy to have people think i'm young!!!! I hope that when i'm 30, people would think i'm (which I highly doubt) 21!!!
After all that, Ant and I went to Naughty Nicks and for the first time, I didn't have to pay the entrance fee!!! We ordered a Sampler, a strawberry shake, and I ordered a wine cooler (which the lady didn't ask for my ID!!! Totally cancels the compliment I had earlier that day ). We bought a scratcher and as ant was driving off, I was scratching. As customary of how we do it, I scratched off the prizes first and they all came out to be $3.00. So.... we obviously knew we won! I made him turn back and as he was driving, I was unraveling the numbers! We won $30! Yeah!
So, we went back. Split the booty.. and.. used $6.00 to buy 2 more tickets. We lost the 1st one, but the 2nd one we won $5.00. We split that too and used $3.00 to buy another ticket. Our streak ended there. I paid ant the $12.00 I won for the CD case holder that he bought online. So...... at the end of the day... I broke even. I still had $10 in my wallet.
I'm going to China in 6 days, but the agency in SF screwed us over and the woman did not do our Visa application. So we had to rush and do that ourselves on Saturday... overnighted it to them, but will not arrive until tuesday morning (doesn't really seem like overnighting if you asked me). Hopefully, they will have it ready and mailed to us (along w/ our passports) by friday.
My Great Uncle and a couple of others will be coming to visit us today. He's the person I might be living w/ if I cannot find housing near SFSU by August 17th. I love them. Great family. He talks a lot, but it's all interesting. We both love photography, so that's always a big topic. It's just that... living alone will give me the opportunity to learn independence whereas living w/ them will not.
This year and next is going to cost me thousands. I just received my 2nd main credit card (platinum, i might add!!!), which will help me a lot for my upcoming semester. Yeah! I better go and finish my Linguistics paper! | | |
| Yesterday, my best friend celebrated my belated bday!!! We went
to CoCoRo's where i ordered the Coco Roll, Tataki Roll, Nasu Dengaku
(eggplant appetizer), and I ordered my 1st legal alcholic beverage,
Asahi beer!!! Yay!!!
Anywho... for my bday, i received a softy furry chair thing-ee from
Spencer's. Those who go there have probably sat in one of those
chairs before. It just CALLS to you.. and.. you can't resist
trying it out. I also received a camera bag for my new camera, a
512mb XD card (which i paid half for), a coffee cup from Barnes &
Nobles, a lil tigger, 2 books, and dinner (which i also paid half
for). =^-^=
21, 21, 21, 21, 21 yay!!! So sad my bday is over already.
Isn't it sad how you wait all year for just one day... and.. that one
day ends before you even realize it has arrived???
