Psalm 46

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, we shall not fear, though the earth give way and mountains fall into the heart of the sea.

Though the waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.

There is a river, who’s stream’s make glad, the city of God, the holy place where the most high dwells.

God is within her.

She will not fall.

God will help her at break of day.

Nations are in uproar.

Kingdoms fall.

He lifts His voice; the earth melts.

The Lord Almighty is with us.

The God of Jacob is our fortress.

Come and see the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow. He shatters the spears. He burns the shields with fire.

Be still and know that I am God.

I will be exalted in the nations.

I will be exalted in the earth.

The Lord almighty is with us.

The God of Jacob is our fortress.

God is, just-- is! For me, thats a comforting thought. That though each and every darn moment we fill up, SOMETHING can and is and always will-- be. And what He ''is'' is perfect. And that perfect "is"happens to have eyes only for ..us. I memorized this back in 3nd grade, when I attended p****c school (filtered for my buddies at HSLDA..jk). And it just got my attention how unlike alot of Psalms this one is. This one seems to just sream out, I am, I am, I am. Shush your mouth, stop tryng to be smart an listen!...

Amen and amen.

"Hast thou not known? Hast thou not heard? That the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, faints not neither is weary? He gives strength to the weak and to them that have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall. But those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up on wings of eagles. They shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint."
