All of my xanga thoughts have been going to emails to my boys: Matt Dunn, Ryan Rolfe, Ryan Richey, and Jeremy Clark. We've all been thinking and writing back and forth about the malfunctions of the 'church.' I'll include some of our questions and thoughts in a later entry. I think you'll enjoy! For now, I need to make up a stupid list to let my mind rest:

THREE FAVORITE SMELLS:
1. Starbucks
2. Peace Perfume on my wife.
3. Lavender Vanilla
4. Rosemary Crusted Tomatoes on Steak (oops, I can't count)

THREE FAVORITE TEXTURES:
1. Captain Jack Sparrow (my new boxer pup)
2. Fleece Blanket
3. Gap Crew Neck T-Shirts

THREE FAVORITE BOOKS:
1. Velvet Elvis, Rob Bell
2. Compassion, Henri Nouwen
3. Chronicles of Narnia, C.S. Lewis
4. Signature of Jesus, Brennan Manning
(at least for now, can't count again)

THREE FAVORITE FAST FOOD EATS:
1. Chicken Quesadilla - Taco Bell
2. Fries - Rallies
3. Fillet O' Fish - McDonald's

THREE REASONS YOU WISH YOU WERE AMISH:
1. Simplicity
2. Ridiculous Facial Hair that your wife can't make you shave
3. Barn Raisings (nothing develops relationships like some good physical labor)

If we all broke the rules, then where would we be?

Have you ever read the Tao Te Ching?

We went to MVNC together, though I am a couple of years older than you.  My identity is blurred intentionally for another audience.  About a month and a half ago I was erratically and unbelievably thrust into a coincidental crossing of paths when you commented on some of my students' friends' blogs.

I used to be a teacher, but I moved and changed employment this summer.  Currently I work at a carry-out and a newspaper for money, and I work at home reading, writing, and thinking.
