| Happy New Year! Some Tips to make New Year's Day easier!Happy New Year everyone!
Here is a top 10 list of Hangover cures to help you all out. Check out #5. It's my personal fav! LOL!
1. Hydrate Alcohol is a diuretic, which means you lose a lot of water after a night of drinking. As a result, your liver and kidneys can’t process the alcohol properly to rid your body of the toxins.Gulping gallons of water won’t cure your hangover, but it will rehydrate your parched body and make you feel better. Sports drinks containing electrolytes may help your body rehydrate more quickly, avoid coffee, it’s also a diuretic, which will leave you even more dehydrated.
2. Hair of the Dog What about the “hair of the dog that bit you” – drinking more of the previous night’s poison? Some claim this popular antidote is a sure-fire way to feel better. But others say it only delays the inevitable and will make you feel worse, no matter how much better you feel in the short term. Try a Virgin Mary. Tomato juice in this vodka-free Bloody Mary is high in fructose, which will help your body metabolize the alcohol in last night’s cocktails more efficiently.
3. Sweat It Out If your body can handle it, drag yourself out of bed, lace up your sneakers and go for a run (or walk). Exercise increases circulation and ushers those toxins out of your body. But don’t push yourself too hard. Strenuous exercise is apt to dehydrate you further and make you feel worse. However, a brief, brisk walk can get your blood going and speed the removal of toxic wastes from cells and tissues.
4. Painkillers, Please! You’ll be tempted to pop pills to ease the pain, but be careful what you take. Avoid acetaminophen, found in over-the-counter medications such as Tylenol. When taken with alcohol or to nurse a hangover, it can cause liver damage. Ibuprofen doesn’t mix well with alcohol either. It can cause stomach irritation and bleeding, especially when you continually use it to treat hangovers or take more than the recommended dosage. Try aspirin for your headache, but only if you’re not too queasy; it can be hard on a sensitive stomach and, just like acetaminophen and ibuprofen, can cause stomach irritation and bleeding with prolonged use. On the plus side, it’s caffeine-free and is a prostaglandin inhibitor (generally, your level of prostaglandins – hormone-like fatty acids that increase pain and inflammation – are already elevated during a hangover).
5. Have Sex With your beer goggles gone, he/she might not look as hot as he/she did last night. However, the best help for your hangover could be lying right next to you. Sex releases endorphins, which reduce hangover symptoms. Plus you’ll burn off a few of last night’s liquid calories. Skeptical? Try it anyway! LOL!
6. Take Your Vitamins Alcohol reacts chemically in your body to deplete your stores of vitamins A, B (especially B6) and C, which can intensify hangover symptoms. Look to B vitamins (especially B6) to help your body metabolize and get rid of alcohol that’s hanging around and causing problems. Prickly pear extract, found at health-supplement stores, may relieve dry mouth and nausea by reducing inflammation caused by cogeners (impurities found in low-quality alcohol).
7. Take Cysteine Cysteine, an amino acid, neutralizes the poisonous effects of acetaldehyde, the by-product of alcohol metabolism that is thought to be responsible for hangovers. It works by attracting the toxin and breaking it down into a non-toxic form similar to vinegar. Cysteine is available at specialty food stores and some drugstores.
8. Eat Go easy on the high-fat breakfasts and resist the urge for a greasy McAnything. Instead, opt for a balanced combination of carbohydrates and proteins, which will help soothe the stomach and supply you with vital nutrients. Eggs are easy on a churning stomach and are also highly restorative. Chowing down on a banana will increase your potassium supply, which alcohol depletes. Plus, this “world’s perfect food” contains a natural antacid to help fight nausea, as well as magnesium to relax blood vessels and ease a headache. While you’re at it, put some honey on that banana. The fructose will help your body metabolize the alcohol faster.
9. Sleep It Off Limiting your boozy activities to Friday and Saturday nights will allow you enough time to sleep away your next-day pain. But if holiday parties or impromptu celebrations land on a “school night,” it’s a good idea to set aside some extra time to recover.
10. Wait It Out Time is the only true cure for a hangover – that’s what it takes for the alcohol to leave your body. Home remedies for the common hangover range from the simple to the downright weird. From aspirin to cabbage soup, and steam saunas to bacon and eggs, every weekend warrior seems to have a personal favorite they'll swear by.
Hope these help out! Either way, heck with the hangover! It's gonna be fun doing the work to get one!

| Just a little Christmas post!Hello all! Sorry I haven't posted in so long. I've been very busy again. I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a safe Holiday! Friend or Foe. LOL! A little Foamy Christmas cartoon. Good stuff! Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/v/LNqlGlzNVEE&rel=1 | | |
| Long Overdue Hey guys! I finally got around to posting... Pls forgive me for the delay, but I've been real busy with work and everything.. Enough of the boring shit, and on to the Lin... First off, I finally got around to doing this:
Whee! As you can see, I have a few of my boys with me for the celebration! Check out the SS. That's a lvl-up and an AS at the same time. I thought it looked pretty sweet. Here is a quick pic of Dack and I. I know, I know, it's only 52, but it's not too easy when you also have an Elf almost lvl 60.
I'm not gonna make this post long b/c I don't have a ton of time to spend on it. So without anymore delay, here are some of the drops and fun stuff that has happened to me recently.. Went up with Jorja to check bosses the other day to get some more charms for my de and guess who I found? I didn't bother to take a SS, b/c we all know what it looks like, but I did get this.. Sweet! And of course, JJ was cool with me keeping it. So..
Of course!
Now for a crazy coincidence I had on FI the other say... I was hunting solo, but in a party with other pledgemates who were in a different area of FI so we could see each others drops b/c it gets real boring when powerlvling. I was also chatting with Riff when I got the idea to send myself a letter that said "Ancient Scroll" on the title to feed to a mop and fool the ppl in my party for a sec into thinking I got an ascroll. Well, I had no letters, so Riff was kind enough to send me one from her. I found the next drake and fed it the letter before I started hitting it. I was in no way prepared for what was next.. Check it out.. ROFL! You've got to be kidding me!
What the hell are the chances of that happening? I was like WTF?!?! Guess Riff is still a good luck charm for me.. Sorry Riff, but I'm gonna have to bug you while I'm hunting FI more often! So leaving FI, I had a nice little collection of loot! Check it out... Not bad eh? Some underwater boots, a few 5% rings, a 10% ring I gave away, and 2 Ascrolls. Good shit!
Ok, I gotta crash! It's WAY past my bedtime! I'll try and post soon, thx for stoppin by, and GL & GH!

| Well I just felt like it was time for another post. Dave and I have very little time to do much of anything besides work anymore. We both get in a little lineage time and I have been playing some WoW just for a change of scenery. It's enjoyable but the PvP just isn't as fun. Too many damn buttons to push if you ask me but o well. Hopefully sometime soon I'll have some awesome SS to post but we ALL know how unlucky I am. Only bit of luck I have had recently is I made 5 +6 t-shirts out of 9 starters. Not too bad really. Sold them all and got a +7 finally so now its on to the boots and shield and I'll be good to go. Well its time for this to end. Peace.

Here are some that some friends sent me: If you can't see them well, click on them for a larger view. (Note: None of these move)
Cool huh?
