| Summer plans other factors.My summer plans are also very contingent on what my lovely girlfriend Rachel will be doing. She is in Spain, working as an au pair and by April has the option of leaving or staying on through the summer. I think the ideal situation would be for us to work in Spain for the summer and than to go Croatia for a bit.

| Summer plans: Seattle or CroatiaYou can see how often I use this. The point of this entry is to think through my possibilities for the coming year. In June, I may have a job offer to work in Spain on a television show, nothing special, it is in fact a Concert Special which will be aired in Britain on Channel 4. I think it would be about 3 months, hopefully great for my resume. I will need to do my dissertation though, and I wouldn't exactly be in the most focused of mind frames for that.
Because of that lack of focus if I get / take that job, I think I'd be able to delay when I need to turn it in. So, here are my options:
1) Try to write my dissertation while working on this show and risk having it not be the best it can be.
2) Immediately after the job, travel for a short time, or if there is no money left, come back to Seattle to work on it... that would most likely mean living at home with my folks for a few months :(
3) With whatever money I have left (I do also have credit cards which I rarely use) rent an apartment in Croatia for a few months while I write my dissertation on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. Of course, I would actually have to focus and write, which may be a problem.
What do you think, all three of you that may read this?

| Former teacher is a pervert...Seattle Times ArticleSo, this was interesting to discover. Apparently my six grade teacher (Carl Leede) is a pervert who molested students. I knew he was a strange man when I was in his class, but crap. The worst part was how the school district handled the situation. I find it so sad and ridiculous how anyone can justify this man's actions. Part of me (a small part) really hopes that the six months Leede spent in jail involved a cell mate 'hugging' him from behind.
