AJC Story about Hands on Atlanta Features Abel Solutions

The Hands on Atlanta event that the company I work for was featured in today's Atlanta Journal Constituation, in the Northside section, on the Tech Circuit page. My coworker Shannon and I were shown  in the print version. The online version can be read here:

It Never Fails

Whenever I pick up an issue of Parabola magazine, I can barely put it down. I always feel like recording the articles aloud  because they are so good. Reading them always makes me think about things from a larger perspective. I only hope that I can sometime write as well as these authors.

The spring issue this year is called Absence and Yearning: http://www.parabola.org/productdisplay_2.php?start=0&prod_key=313&cat_key=12

The article "Lonliness and Presence" by Thomas Berry is subtitled "Finding our place in the great community of being". It is an excellent piece that really makes you contemplate the natural world around you and the connectedness of it that we, or at least I, tend to neglect during everyday business, read: busy-ness.

Here is my reading of Berry's piece:

Satan and The Demons Reloaded

Satan and The Demons
This is an updated version of my "Satan and The Demons" rant with video with images to along with it. It's slightly satirical, but the main points are:
  • The indefensibleness of dogmatic, ancient religion
  • The need for the scientific method of looking at evidence

Almost busting on my bike

Close, but not so fast. This video shows me riding my bike down  Freedom  Park's Georgia Path trail. This is literally directly across the street from my condo. I love having this so close.

I was holding the camera right my right hand. The rear brake is on the right side. My left break seems to be malfunctioning, which I didn't learn until I was about ready to turn the corner by the street. So it was either me or the camera! See ya camera! You served me three years! Time to get the dust pan.

Well, I had the camera's lanyard wrapped around my wrist, so I didn't really drop it, but I nearly did bust my ace onto the pavement!

When Do Witnesses and Firefighters Count?

As the  9/11 Truth Movement presses on, the factions within the group comprise a wide spectrum of  opinion. One of the most frequent claims we hear is that Building 7  must have been controlled demolition because it "suddnely" collapsed. Well, the firefighters were expecting the building to collapse for quite some time, as detailed here:

http://www.debunking911.com/pull.htm

I do not believe that what took place that day is exactly as we've been told, but I will not abandon critical thinking just because a few videos and a few out of context quotes can be YouTubed into a scary video that makes it look inevitably a demolition.
