Well it's been forever since my last entry. Not that I haven't thought about posting more often but I'm usually no where near a computer at that time and am too tired/busy with other stuff by the time I am at one. However, given the new direction my life will be taking in the fall of this year I figured maybe I would start up again.

So my big new as of late, I GOT INTO GRAD SCHOOL AT NYU. So after almost three years out of school, roaming a bit around the country and through different jobs, I'm going back to school to get my M.A. in Dance Education. I'm super excited, one because the program at NYU is awesome and completely fits with what I want to do with teaching and where I think dance education needs to go in the future and two, I'll be living in NYC for two years. (Well maybe not the full two my program has a summer abroad in Italy, which I will probably try to do) Of course, I don't know yet when classes start, where exactly I'll be living or how I"m going to pay for all of it, but I figure that's what the next few months are for.

Well I know I could go on but hopefully I'll actually start writing more again so I don't need to catch up on everything going on in my life right now.

Well the Badgers undefeated season ended today with a devastating loss to Michicgan State. Although, we aren't completely out of the contest for going to the Rose Bowl we now need Ohio St. to beat Michicgan next week as well as for us to beat Iowa. Apparently, the Badgers have never been 10 and 0 and unfortunately, still won't be. At least I got to be at the last home game where we we crushed Minnesota and won back the Paul Bunyan axe.

I LOVE BADGER FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!!!

That said, I have to head to bed soon but feel like writing a bit about my weekend. Basically, I'm not completely exhausted that I feel I must go to bed now otherwise I'll pass out on my computer. Anyway, Saturday the Badgers played Purdue. Dana and I went to Will's Northern Inn, the Badger bar in Chicago to watch the game. Just the bar itself was absolute madness. It was wall to wall people, almost all in Badger gear and all cheering on the team. It's great when at every high and low the entire bar erupted into cheers or groans. The game was great, first half not too much happened though Badgers did score a touchdown before halftime. The second half was all over the place and I was getting quite worried about the Badgers, because of turnovers and errors on defense Purdue scored 17 unanswered points. Though apparently the Badgers were just supposed to win the game. The offense got back on track, and moved the ball down the field for a TD. Kickoff to Purdue, they're moving the ball, til the QB fumbles, which Madison recovers and runs for a TD. But then the extra point gets blocked. So Purdue needs to get a field goal to tie. They get in range and there kicker, as the stats kept showing, was 11 for 11 from 40-49 yards. However, when the kick came he missed it by a long shot. I was so glad I was surrounded by Badger fans for that victory. We're now
7-0 and ranked 7th in the nation. Sorry to make you all sit through my game summary but it was just too great a game not to recap.

Although, the rest of the weekend wasn't anywhere near as exciting as the game, it was a lot of fun. Had a dinner party with a few friends tonight, which went well. As always, I missed judged the time it would take to make the food so dinner was served around 8pm instead of 7, but the stir fry turned out great.

Quote: "I beg you...to have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foriegn language. don't search for the answers, which could not be given you now, beacaue you would not be able to live them. and the point is to live everything live the questions now perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer."
(When I wrote this quote down I forgot to write who said it so I'll fill it in next time.)

Just a quick post since it's been almost a month since my last one. Life is well, fairly hectic with work, dance classes, hanging out with the boyfriend, Phil, and still seeing friends. Also, I've been up in Madison for all but one of the home football games. Basically, I've been lucky if I get online once a day to check e-mail. Anyway, must go continue doing a few other internet things since I actually have to time to do them. Ciao

Well so far so good in Miami. Got in and went to get some snacks for the hotel as well as get lunch. I was literally trying to eat the car I was so hungry. Anyway, went down to the pool for a bit late afternoon. My right arm is probably going to be incredibly sore tomorrow since there was a group of people hitting around a volleyball in the pool, and except for the occasionally bump and set, it was a lot of open hand hitting. I was actually pretty impressesd with my ability to get up in the air and actually hit the ball. Of course, my bikini bottoms kept trying to fall off, whenever I was jumping out of the pool for a hit, which made for a fun sequence of hit ball, fix suit. Oh well I don't think they ever got too terribly low. Not that I really have anyway of knowing since well I doubt the guys I was playing with would tell me.

Now just bumming in the hotel room, which is huge, with a great view of the ocean. (There's no beach by the hotel though cuz well Charley took that away.) There's actually both a bathtub as well as a shower stall, so I took a nice bath. So at 9pm I can watch the live webcast of the competition and otherwise wait for Karl to get here from the airport.

Oh and for any of you that saw me after my last excursion to Florida, I'm making sure to put on sunscreen regardless of how long I think I might be out in the sun.

Oh one more random thing. Watched Love Actually last weekend, so it was fun to be at an airport so soon after seeing that and witnessing the various welcomes at the "arrival gate"
