| I got this story from one of my church friend. Thought
that it is a good one to share. I apologize for not being diligently
updating my blog. My life is very busy but full of light.
Sometimes, I do not have time to write anything else but just to live it moment
by moment. School is going very well and I am learning a lot in caring
elderly at a local nursing home. In a couple of weeks, I will move on to
a senior education and activity center to learn another way of
connecting to seniors. It has been a challenging but a rewarding
journey. Blessing to you all. And by the way.. Happy new year!
**************************** Our dog Abbey died Aug 23, and the day after Abbey died, my 4 year old, Meredith, was SO upset. She wanted to write a letter to God so that God would recognize Abbey in heaven. She told me what to write, and I did
Then she put 2 pictures of Abbey in the envelope. We addressed it to God in Heaven, put two stamps on it (because, as she said, it could be a long Way to heaven). We put our return address on it, and I let her put it in the drop box at the post office that afternoon. She was absolutely sure that letter would get to heaven, and I wasn't about to disillusion her.
So today is Labor Day. We took the kids to the museum in Austin, and when we came home, there was a package wrapped in gold on our front porch. It was addressed to Mer. So, she took it inside and opened it.
Inside was a book, When Your Pet Dies, by Mr. Rogers (Fred Rogers). On the front cover was the letter we had written
to God, in its envelope (opened). On the opposite page was one of the pictures of Abbey taped on the page. On the back page was the other picture of Abbey, and this handwritten note on pink paper:
"Dear Mer, I know that you will be happy to find out that Abbey arrived safely and soundly in heaven. Having the pictures you sent to me was a big help! I recognized Abbey right away!
You know, Mer, she isn't sick anymore. Her spirit is here with me (just like it stays in your heart) young and running and playing. Abbey loved being your dog, you know. Since we don't need our bodies in heaven, I don't have any pockets to keep things in-- so I am sending you your beautiful letter back with the pictures--so that you will have this little memory book to keep.
One of my angels is taking care of this for me. I hope this little Book will help. Thank you for your beautiful letter. Thank your mother for sending it. What a
wonderful mother you have. I picked her especially for you.
God blesses you every day and remember, I love you very much. By the way, I am in heaven and everywhere there is love.
Signed, God, and one of his special angels (who wrote this letter after God told HER the words)."
How wonderful is that! I never knew there were angels working in the Post Office.

| Ya.. tomorrow will be my last day at work. I am letting go off a job of 19 years. In this 19 years, I became citizen of United State, had kids, changed religion, grew into a middle age woman... I had a good life. But now, I am excited to begin a new chapter of my life. Life is becoming great! God is good all the time regardless if I am in the low or high point of my life... Blessing! | | |
| THE 23rd. PSALM This is an eye opener; probably we never thought nor looked at this Psalm in this way, even though we say it over and over again.
The Lord is my Shepherd That's Relationship! I shall not want That's Supply!
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures That's Rest!
He leadeth me beside the still waters That's Refreshment!
He restoreth my soul That's Healing!
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness That's Guidance!
For His name sake That's Purpose!
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death That's Testing!
I will fear no evil That's Protection!
For Thou art with me That's Faithfulness!
Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me That's Discipline! Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies That's Hope!
Thou annointest my head with oil That's Consecration!
My cup runneth over That's Abundance!
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life That's Blessing!
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord That's Security!
Forever That's Eternity!

| HELL People are free in the world to live for themselves alone if they want to and let the rest go hang, and they are free to live out the dismal consequences as long as they can stand it. The doctrine of Hell proclaims that they retain this same freedom in whatever world cmes next. thus the possibility of making damned fools of ourselves would appear to be limitless. Or maybe Hell is the limit. Since the damned are said to suffer as dismally in the next world as they do in this one, they must still have enough life left in them to suffer with, which means that in their flight from Love, God apparently stops them just this side of extinguishing themselves utterly. Thus the bottomless pit is not really bottomless. Hell is the bottom beyond which God in his terrible mercy will not let them go. Dante saw written over the gates of Hell the words "Abandon all hope ye who enter here," but he must have seen wrong. If there is suffering life in Hell, there must also be hope in Hell, because where there is life there is the Lord and giver of life, and where there is suffering he is there too because of the suffering of the ones he loves is also his suffering. "He descended into Hell," the Creed says, and "If I make my bed in Sheol, thou are there," the Psalmist (139:8). It seems there is no depth to which he will not sink. Maybe not even Old Scratch will be able to hold out against him forever. by ~ BUECHNER

| Awesome!
THE EYE OF GOD
This photo is a very rare one, taken by NASA. This kind of event occurs once in 3000 years.
This is a picture NASA took with the hubble telescope. Called "The Eye of God".
