The Great White Squirrel Of Kenton, Tn LOL

EDIT #2: Ok, at the request of Candy, I've changed my song to Ray Stevens "Mississippi Squirrel Revival"  This song just cracks me up!                                                                                                                                        I know Squirrel's can REALLY be a pain and can cause all sorts of problems with your house  Been there, done that! But these guys are just too cute. I go up to Kenton to inspect houses every few months and these squirrels just amaze me. Get out of the city limits of Kenton and these White squirrels are not found.I haven't read up on it to see why this is, but just one of those weird things in nature. I'll get to the more serious posts later, I just didn't have time to do the one I wanted to, so here is a light hearted post. Here is the sign coming into Kenton, Tn. Think they are proud of their squirrels. There even used to be a statue of a giant White Squirrel I remember seeing but is gone now.Home Of The White Squirrel

Here are some pics I took last trip of thses squirrels. They were everywhere. Yesterday it was almost dark when I got there, so I didn't see any.

White Squirrel White Squirrel1 White Squirrel2 White Squirrel3

I also did a video and put it on my Youtube if you want to see it. http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=xGUzctwxw6Q

Hopefully soon I'll have the stuff I need for my next post. Hope all is well with everyone. God bless you all!

Grampy

Edit: Here is a pic I took in one of the other towns that just cracked me up.

Danger Blind Hill I don't think a blind hill would scare me, BUT, if I saw one with glasses, I might freak out!

my gosh!  that is an amazing sight...so they have a ton of albino squirrels?  Marysville, Kansas is the home of the black squirrel...they are real big and they are black...it is a huge fan if you run over one there!

Kenton has way to much chlorine in their water, he he  And you are sooo right about what a pain squirrels can be in the wrong places. And you better watch out for the Blind Drives also. Glad to hear from Grammy and that things are well and will be praying about the new leg for sure. Sure hope you don't run upon to many good looking fishing ponds in your travels this week, would hate to hear of you getting behind on the work load. Ha ha

I love squirrels, but then, have never had any problems with them.  Those are just weird looking tho, I'm used to the grey and red fox squirrel around here.  We made a corncob holder and keep dried corn out on ours.  We had to cut his tree down tho, so haven't seen him in a while.  It's ok, I still put out the corn, the ladderback woodpeckers pluck them clean.

They look albino. I know squirrels can cause problems but these are still amazing!!! You should have the Ray Stevens track on here about "The day the squirrel went berzerk" in the first self righteous church!!! Now that is funny!!!

I read this yesterday, but didn't take the time to leave a comment. Just had to come back. Years ago, we found a "colony" of white squirrels outside of Tallahassee, FL. My sister and brother-in-law lived about 60 miles from there, and we'd take the side roads just so we could go by and see them. My mother's reaction (she was then in her 70's) was so much fun! Wish we would have taken pictures, not only of the squirrels, but also of Mama enjoying herself so much. Thank you for sharing. These brought back some good memories of my mother that I will cherish!

The blind hill sign seems to fit you..... Sorry....

Wow, I've never heard of white squirrels! That's really interesting. If you find out why they are only in that one town, I would love to hear the story.

RYC: Actually, I think I'm going to be a little too busy to get to your hedges. lol....I really don't like doing them at all and I'm still going to try to avoid those jobs when possible. Usually the best way to do that is just give them a ridiculously high price and they will be the ones to turn me down. If they accept, then it's cha-ching! I have respect for all my equitment but these hedge trimmers take it to another level. I could literally bleed to death if my hands slipped while I was trimming over my head. *shivers* I'm going to be extra careful.

God bless you bro!

@Livin4Christ83 - Now your talkin'. Thats what I did when I painted houses. When I had a house that required getting on a ladder higher than 30 ft and loads of windows to paint, I just jacked the price up. Like you said, if they accept....Cha-Ching!
