    random thoughts

***i get more tired when i sit on my a** all day then when i run around town, driving everywhere, retrieving goodies for my bosses... i guess i'm more dog than cat.

***christian radio is very relaxing during work... i just wish they didn't play the same 10 songs over and over again!

***also, why are there plastic surgery commercials on christian radio?  trying to improve on what GOD has given???

***freshed, baked chocolate chip cookies are more addictive and irresistible than crack!

***they make a SpongeBob Squarepants LEGO thing... how do i know?... cause it stares at me ALL day!

***white people are just as short as asians... sometimes

***what does the Silver Surfer surf on?  Air?  The crushed dreams of Hollywood hopefuls?

***what's the point of $15 concert tickets when Ticket"master" charges a $9.75 convenience charge to buy them on the net?  i'm goin down to the local bodega/CD shop to purchase them there ese!

***why does thinking about random thoughts help you realize that reality isn't as scary or horrible as it seems sometimes?  i don't know... but i'm goin to try and make this a daily habit (yeah right!... i'm convinced "habit" was once a synonym of "fetter")

peace...love... hot chocolate can't hold a candle to TANG! (i have no idea what that means!)

iCarly and the Curse of the Cockroach

    http://www.nytimes.com/2007/04/08/magazine/08NICKELODEON.t.html?_r=1&ref=magazine&oref=slogin

i start with this link because i you should all educate yourselves on the importance of the "TWEEN" generation.  They are young, scary, impressionable.... and will rule the world one day.

Life has been a champagne toast and bright rays of sunshine as of late.  Though the glare from the sea of a billion windshields does blind me on occasion, i have diligently squinted through the harshness and kept my feet on the straight and narrow.

Nickelodeon is treating me well.  I'm in a good grove there and have discovered the niche that is mine... the niche i must overcome to climb up to the next level.

My fledgling relationship is no longer a chick-a-dee anymore but a full grown bird.  Growing pains exist, but so far we've communicated out way through them... which i find is arduous, but well worth the effort.

Hope everyone outside of this sunbeam bubble is keeping their butts warm.

Peace... Love... and SPONGEBOB SQUARE PANTS!!

    Nickelodeon

The entertainment industry is filled with ego-manical freaks.  their existence is fueled by the need to make themselves feel superior, even if it means projecting their mistakes and insecurities on others just to do so.

i left my first job in the "industry" 1 month into it for this reason alone.

i wasn't the bearer of much of the anguish, but frankly seeing coworkers taking crap for no good reason really takes a toll on the morale of the individual and the office.

good news is that I've already received another job... i started today working at Nickelodeon, the bastion of childhood entertainment and breeding ground for future drug addicts and scientologists.

i am honestly happier here, especially because i'll actually be working live action instead of couped up in a post production office with a crazy boss.

let's see if i get slimed anytime soon.  check back to find out if i do or not....

btw... starting September watch out for a show called iCarly on Nick.  It should be AMAZING!!... i think =1

    peace... love... double TRUE!

    Assitance

quick recap on what has happened in my life since my last entry:

    - I finished film school
    - I finished my short, "Remnants of You"
    - I went home to NJ/NY for Christmas and NYE
    - 2007 began
    - I've been consistently going to Church of Southland in the OC
    - My relationship with Christ has gotten much healthier and stronger
    - I've started a new job at Prologue Films, where I am a Production Asst
    - I have a girlfriend that I met at church, her name is Esther

I guess that's the gist of what's been happening in my life... but as you can tell it has changed quite a bit in the past 7 months or so.

I'm quite content with the direction I'm heading... though I'm just someone's b*tch at the moment... I'm developing a mindset anchored on patience... for I understand that success does not happen overnight... and that films aren't easy to make.

But I also understand that I must keep trying to break into the "industry," one that so tightly knit and hard to crack... especially on the creative side of the equation.

Keep praying for me... and I will for all of you

Peace... Love... and "Breaking Two: Electric Bugaloo"
