My computer was full of dust, It
kept shutting down because of overheating, the heat sink looked like
it was encased in cement, rather than dust. it was awful. so I
cleaned it. I've never cleaned a computer before, built yes, cleaned
no. SO i went down maplin and bought some very expensive air! and a
mini hover. At first I was doing it wrong, I assembled the hover the
wrong way so it blowed, the bag fell of so I had to find another
elastic band. And finally I failed to hold the can of air upright so
supper cold air came out that I spared at the heat sink and directly
onto the motherboard!
. REMEBER ALLWAYS HOLD YOUR COMPRED AIR UPRIGHT!!. anyway I fixed all
that, blow lots of dust out, and put it back together. It sure runs
quiet now! Yay me. (also I bend an IDE pin on the motherboard ( no
27). so a quick panic and a few helpful goggle searches latter, I
tried bending it back with my drivers licence and uni card. no look,
so cautiously I bent it back with a flat screwdriver. It all works
now! Yay
... ALSO Twenty
four is awesome! (I know its not on till next week here, that god for
the internet s) and I watched the Seattle football (yea right,
American bad form of rugby game) game.
"the universal tagging made the contents of the building basicaly theftproof. it also made communal property a rather simple proposition. It was never hard to find a tool when the local, condition, and history of evrey tool was loged and displayed in real time. It was also very hard for freeloaders to anonymously steel or abuse the common goods. When it worked, this digital socialism was considerably cheeper and more convenint than private property." ~ bruce sterling;
Ho HO Ho, :) Ok yesterday I should have checked more pages befores I went on a rant about it, oh well. Hows today going for you all (becase I hope yoou all ain't nutcases like me and some of you are actualy tucked up in bed). Not too many family arguments I hope (my mother seems to be in perpetual cold war with her mother) and I hope you all got at least one good/useful presant (becase we all do need more socks however much we complain).
Me im ok, Im ment to have 'built' this website for a guy I know but havent even started, :( but I hope itll all be ok in the end. I did'nt send out any christmas cards again this year allough I did buy them for the second year running. Need to make a big list of the thngs I have to acomplih next year (like get a placement, learn java, actulau attend some of the Open rights group meeting in london, be more effetive with the net insted of browsing the smae old sites repetadly.
back to things, I want to move my blog but will others follow? the primary reason for this is that It don't support RSS!!! I cant bleavive that any website doesn't have rss let alone a blog site, (one that they try and get money off you to use). what kind of people visit each blog individually, instead of just getting them off there 'reader' (like a podcatcher for blogs, I google reader wasn't around I wouldn't get any news other than the rubbish of ITN and sky (aka FOX news). So I may move to blogger (google thingy) allthough I also have accounts at myspace and liveJournal (thats 4 in total !!!) /* ok I lie you can turn it on or off, well I feal foolish */
Other things, not being at Uni still sucks. realy sucks.
Christmas also sucs Its fully of consumerism and scary white tree's!
ah well leave coments and I may babble some more .....
