  • Blogger?! I don't even know 'er!

Well it's finally come to this. I've been toying with the idea of blogging for a couple months, years, decades, but now my life is finally interesting enough to actually do it.

Now when I say 'interesting' I  mean I'm not in college anymore, so my posts won't be about how "dorm life sux!!!!" or about how hard it is write a 20 page retrospective in one night. Don't expect actually interesting things to be written about here. Because my life is pretty much: 7 o'clock wake up, check my email, walk to Z train, get on A train, get off A train, buy coffee at a cart, get to work, enter data, go buy awful coffee in lobby, enter data, take lunch break, buy more coffee, come back from lunch break, enter data, chat with boyfriend on Gchat while entering data, realize it's 4:53 and begin the countdown, enter data (2 minutes), enter data (1 minute), 5 o'clock! get the hell out of there, get on the A train, get on the Z train, get home. Watch Simpsons with boyfriend, watch Seinfeld with boyfriend, eat dinner with boyfriend, realize it's only 8:30 and I already want to go to bed, check my email, channel surf, watch the Daily Show, fall asleep during Colbert's opening segment. Repeat again.

So 'interesting' is probably the wrong word choice. Maybe a better way to put it would be: things that happen to me between cups of coffee. So... I'm doing this blog because now my life is finally "things that happen to me between cups of coffee" enough to actually do a blog! Yippee!

That being said, I think I'm going to stop drinking coffee.

Boyfriend Max's mother and his stepdad (who is also the editor at the magazine I write for- one guess on how I landed that job!) came in to town from Portland this weekend and they bought us a blender, protein powder, and frozen fruit. (I guess Max and I seemed malnurished- we did comment as we were eating dinner with them that it was soooo good to eat food again...) So as of this past week, Max has been making protein shakes for us for breakfast. And so to match that healty habbit, I've been drinking a lot of water. So maybe now is the time to do a complete overhaul on all my beverage choices. No more coffee, no more soda, and no more protein shakes becaue they make me feel like I ate a brick for breakfast.  Cheers!
