|  Just a quick update on Betty's condition. Today when Millie came in we called her house to check on her (we try to call about every two days or so) and her Granddaughter said she has lost so much weight they will have to put in a feeding tube next week! Oh how sad. It brings tears to my eyes as I type this.  I just bet she will never be back to work now. It is so hard to think this started out as a backache and now it has turned out to be cancer! Just remember, my faithful readers... Life is but a vapor. It is here and POOF it is gone. Too short. I am gonna stop depressing everybody now.
Not too much happening. I am adjusting to my "day schedule". Really hard to get into this 9:30-5:30 thing! After working so long at night, it does take some adjustment to get used to it. Now with the Daylight Savings time change tonight, we are losing an hour! Great! Less sleep, more daylight. Hmmm okay. This is good, right?
All last week my hubby took a week of vacation. Okay, he asked me if there were any "projects" to be done. I quickly sat down and wrote up some things I thought needed to be done around our house. Now was a good time to tackle them, or so I thought . WRONG!! You will never guess what he did. He took it upon himself to do the chores he thought was important, and did them. When I got home from work, I was informed he was too tired to do the things on the list because he had done "these other things that needed to be done". Oh boy I was a bit upset. He asked me, I wrote them down, and now he is too tired because of his little projects got in the way. Men. Figure them out. Sorry if I offended any men that are reading this. Maybe you can tell me why he did this? He did get some of them done, really and I was so surprised! He is a sitter, I am a "goer and a doer". I cannot stand to sit still. He cannot stand to see the TV left off !  Opposites attract? Okay. Enough of that.

|  Not much to write about but I hate not blogging for weeks at a time! Seems lately my schedule is such that time gets away from me so fast. Nothing has changed with Betty. I truly do not think she will be back to work. Her health is just not going to allow it. But where does that leave us? Should I be the manager? Well I can truly say after one month of this hard*** (gotta take out the explicit words) job being the stand in manager, they sure would have to offer me some good money! I never seem to stop now at work! And you know I hate that. We are not in NYC, with some big corporation. Anyhow, every day there now is a new headache and I am just trying to hang in there.
Which brings me to another thought that just occurred to me. The larger paychecks I have gotten have been very nice, kinda splurging on myself has been fun. BUT- I am so tired I am about to drop! Can I say that one million more times folks? Sorry! I don't mean to sound like a broken record. I am just not used to this! My whole point here is: to have extra money is great, but is it worth it, if you are too darn tired to enjoy it? That is the question of the day. Enough said.
Finally broke down and bought my 12 year old daughter a pre-paid cell phone. I guess I am living in the dark ages! She is about the only one who does not have one, it seems. When she goes to the movies, there is not pay phone, and it is just nice knowing I can get hold of her when she is with her friends. I do feel better knowing she can call me, too. I told her she has to buy the cards. That way this phone will not be used for nonsense. Call me hard, but I feel she will appreciate it more when it is coming out of her pocket. It is a really cute one, I wish they had those back in the day when I was 12. Oh my!! The way times have changed.
I need to run on out of here. Gotta go in today at 1:00. Just took my Sublingual B-12. They are great for energy and also for anemia. Try them if you have not! I am waiting for it to kick in. Also got those invisible toothpicks in, (this is a private joke for someone special)!

| Update on the work situation here... Betty has had a setback and is now in the hospital again. Oh no! I am so worried about her. I am praying so hard she makes it. She is too sweet to leave this life now!! This puts me in the work 47 more hours a week mode, too. Hate to keep complaining, but I was not hired for this and I am just plain wore out. I need the job, the money is good (not great you notice I did not say) but enough is enough. I sit down on the couch for a minute and fall asleep.  Just need more rest, I guess. Oh well. Quit your complaining Val, at least you have a job!
Not much else to blog about. The poor mall is still hanging in there. They have not made the final decision to re-do it or tear it down completely. Hmmm... Now that would be bad. I hope they do keep it up. We have lots of growth in the town and need shopping. It would be terrible for these new folks to have to go to Orlando for a loaf of bread! That is about 40 miles away from me. Can you imagine how mad they would be? Spend quite a bit of money for these new homes and condos, and no shopping!! Oh boy!
I need to get cleaned up and go pick up Jarrod from school. The new Rolling Stone is out with a tribute to Hunter S. Thompson and I want it for my collection. What collection? Need you ask? My Johnny Depp collection! You would imagine I would have one with all the pics on here of him! I will leave that subject alone. I could go on for weeks sitting here about him and how he has changed my life for the better. I would not change it for the world. I am rambling. Gotta run. Glad youall stopped by. I am still around. |  I bet youall are wondering where I have been. It is called real life. I have wanted to get on here and post something, anything to let everyone know I was okay. My manager at work has been extremely sick so I have taken on the management while she is out. That is okay, except for they do not give you training. Just "sink or swim".. No- really they do, but I have been there for 7 years so I should know pretty much what to do. And I do, except for the schedule I am on. I have gone from mostly all nights to all days. Gives one no time at all to catch up on these important computer things! It has been a learning experience. We are sure praying for the best for Betty, and hope she gets out of the hospital real soon and is doing great!
Did youall see the Oscars tonight? I did, was hoping SO much Johnny Depp would get it for best actor. He needs to win!! I guess when he does Pirates of the Caribbean 2 he will win, hopefully!! He did look very very hot, his hair is getting long and so is his beard.

Nothing much new to post, really. Oh yes.. my daughter Lauren got her truck this week and she came by today to show it off to us. It is really nice, but one problem. It is a manual shift and she cannot drive one! Actually the truck was a present from her Grandparents because her car is torn up in a million pieces in this man's back yard! They felt guilty because they chose that man who has never fixed it (he has had it since November!)... so they just bought her another vehicle. Bless her heart. She is trying so hard to drive it. Her boyfriend, Robert is helping her learn. They are so cute together. You know I just had a thought. I never thought in my wildest dreams I would miss her, but I do! And it took her growing up and moving out and maturing enough for us to appreciate each other. I love you Lauren!!! It is great being a parent! Very challenging, but well worth it.
