The Marching 97 is on YouTube!

Our first show this year, Ride of the Valkyries and Firebird

Our second show, Bad Bad Leroy Brown and Joy to the World (Three Dog Night, not xmas music)

And the third, which I helped write, The Moorside March and The Patriot

Lastly, the Marching Lehigh, which we do after every halftime performance.

If you're wondering, I'm the second trombone player from the left. Unless the rank pivots, which happens sometimes. Also, I'm the middle part of the bottom of the L.

Definitely check these out, especially if you haven't seen my band before. I'm looking at you, Anela.

Edit: YouTube has no sound for Firebird. There's a crappier version on google video.

Intelliquip released a new software version over the weekend. Check out the article to learn more about what my company does. I've been working with a beta version of 6.0 since I got here, and when I saw what the customers had to work with in 5, I understood what the big deal about 6 was. I did contribute a tiny bit to the release, but I haven't been around long enough to make much of an impact. Also, since I'm not a developer, I'm kind of limited to reporting bugs.

Just the other day I found a bug in the Intelliquip phone system. It tells you to press one for "male friend wearing a pink shirt" and press two for "burning break-and-bake cookies", and either one will get you a quip for "transvestite moving in next door". Boy, did we fix that quickly!

I got A's for both summer classes. My final GPA? 2.993

Do + and - make a difference in GPA? For instance, if I had gotten an A instead of an A- in painting, would I have finally gotten to 3.0?

Well, I didn't fail, so it's ok. I just never quite got to my goal.
