Me and My Gang

December 13 was quite a while ago, so I suppose I will update everyone on my latest news. I did get accepted to Commerce without taking the SAT over, which helped me feel much better about myself. However, I do believe I have decided to go to Eastfield first. For a couple of different reasons. One: I LOATHE COMMERCE, TX!!!! Dont get me wrong, "country" is good, but to me Commerce, TX is like, white trash, hick town Texas!!! (no offence to anyone who likes it) -It's just not for me! (or at least not to live in for four years!) Anyway, Second: Eastfield is cheaper, and Third: I like the advantages of living with family. I'm not using them, I'm just taking advantage of my resources for as long as I can. So as of right now, Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at 10:42pm. I am going to Eastfield Community College for two years, transfering to Commerce (commuting) for one year, and completing my internship in MISD the next. We will eventually see if that really happens or if God has something else up his sleeve. Oh yeah! most of you probably already know, but i sell Mary Kay Cosmettics now. so if you or anyone you know is interested you can help me out by visiting the following site.

So the first semester of my senior year is almost over and I am extremely excited about getting economics over with...and Christmas! I got my SAT scores back this week and as I suspected it wasnt so great. A 1380 over all, but when you only combine the math and critical reading...880.  However, I made a 7 out of a possible 12 on my writing, which is super swell for me!  Anyway, I had decided to go to Commerce, get a BA in education, then teach for MISD and go to night school to get my masters in Psychology, (MISD will pay for most if not all of it.) But in order to be accepted to Commerce, you must either be in the top 25% of your class or make a 920 on the SAT. Bummer! I am deffinately in the top 29% of my class.  So my other options are... take the SAT over and get a better score, (which i will NOT do!!), go to Eastfield and gain six more hours and then transfer to Commerce and go through with my previous plans, or go to Harding and do something similar...we'll see. Any suggestions?

So its been a while huh? Well, thanks to Cathy Hare, I have decided to update! That's right, she tagged me! So I'm not sure what the criteria for 6 random things about me is, but here they are...

1. I have always wanted to experience "washing my hair in the rain" however I have not yet accomplished this.

2. I took ballet for about two years (I think first and second grade) only to find out I am not graceful at all and my thumbs like to stick out! :)

3. My favorite two vegetables are squash and spinach, while my favorite fruits are mangos and mandarin oranges.

4.  I love getting a new pair of shoes...but in all honesty I would rather just go barefoot every where!!!!!! (NO I'm not a redneck...just free spirited)

5. I have approximately 26 items in my tigger collection, not including clothing.

6. Audrey Hepburn is my ALL TIME favorite actress and I LOVE old classical movies...for example... The Arsenic and Old Lace.

Hope you learned something new!

How can you have something within your grasp and reach, but not be able to hold on to it?

How do you know someone, yet still not know them at all?

Why do people yearn for something so much and yet still loose all sense of contentment for it?

How can something of importance in your life...just become forgotten?

How can you say you love someone or something so much, but still push them away?

I have come to the conclusion that we (unknowing humans) live by the mists of our fear…and sprint from everything we find to be scary! But what we fail to see is that God is love and there is no fear in love!!! So either we need to face that it isn't love and stop calling it by a false name or we need to stop running from God! For the bible says God is not a God of confusion, yet the devil will throw anything at you to make you trip and fall.

So if we put our full unwavering faith in God there is no reason to be fearful and therefore you can trust yourself to trust God!

Ok…I think I said all of that right…all I know is it is a really hard thing to do because you have to distinguish what comes from God and what doesn't. Just remember…God is not a God of confusion.

Please comment if you have any wise insights to help me out with this continuous struggle…

Much love to all…

…until nextime…
