Love Eternal

The World always was and is a mystery; always pretending to be something else, but deep inside it’s a hollow masquerade, there’s a background, a full history. People analyze beliefs, creating theories, revealing enigmas. Most of the time they are searching, but they will never find the true facts for they will always remain hidden. Why? That, we don’t know-or are not sure of…one may go deep-but will he or she ever find his or her way back again?

We always question life; is it just one world? Or are there many others?

No my friend the answers don’t come that easily. You have to go up, to the end of the yarn to reach enlightenment. Always far above us, keeping secrets away, raising doubt in our hearts, almost like a gentle being, always flying with it’s soft wings.

Lady Gabrielle looked far into the night. Everything was still. The waves moved gently back and forth, as if the ocean would have been breathing in its sacred sleep. The moon’s pale face reflected on the waters revealing a gentle complexity of unfathomable beauty. The stars answered her silent question; reflecting their unique lights on our world.

She looked into all this as if all would have been a dream, a gentle dream, and an unforgettable message from our blessed ancestors of the unknown realms. Her eyes closed as her hair slowly began to dance with the wind.

Suddenly she felt hands on her shoulders. Someone gently hugged her, and kissed her softly.

"Why are you not sleeping, Milady?" asked Lord Matthew.

"I’ve been having strange dreams, Milord, as if I would sense a disturbance. I came here, with the hope that this magnificent sight will help me forget it."

"Don’t worry my Love! I’m here for you and if something would happen; I would protect you to the end."

"I know my prince. Your love is strong unbreakable; as our bondage is," answered Lady Gabrielle.

"Yes, my Princess" said Lord Matthew.

They looked in each other’s eyes then slowly they kissed each other on lips. That moment seemed to have been stopped in time. Like the entire world had just stood still and only they were moving for they were the only thing important at that time.

"My sweetest Rose of all memories" he said.

"My Star in spiritual guidance" she replied.

He gave her a beautiful red rose and she looked at it with awe.

"Let this little life symbolise our eternal love" said Lord Matthew.

She slowly took the flower and put it in her pocket. They seemed to be inseparable; while clinging onto each other in admiration. Only the Moon looked at them, blessing their love with her infinite rays. All was still.

Then suddenly…There was a huge explosion on the ship. Lady Gabrielle and Lord Matthew looked frightened in the way from where the sound of explosion came.

"Pirates!" Mathew revealed fearfully.

Lord Matthew asked Lady Gabrielle to run down quickly in the depth of the ship. As she ran away he called for the ship’s personnel. Everyone, armed with weapons, came out and tried to hold the pirates back. They fought against each other without any sign of mercy. Everything was horrible and all was unseemly. In matter of moments the whole floor was covered in blood, and corpses laid everywhere. Still, the remaining troops fought against each other. Violence ruled, revealing its full darkness, taking the lives of everyone. It seemed like an age since the battle began and the battle seemed to have no intention of ending until the ship ran into something; something very hard, solid.

Lord Matthew desperately tried to hold his position, fighting the pirates back; but he managed to take a glimpse of what they ran into. Rocks; the ship ran into a strange island covered with huge stones.

Lord Matthew and his people could not hold out for much longer. Slowly, but surely they were fewer and fewer. The pirates slay, with brutality, everyone in their way.

In the end Lord Matthew turned back and ran away from the battle. He ran to save Lady Gabrielle. Soon everyone was fleeing. The huge ship’s people jumped into the water to reach the island, but the pirates followed to secure their fate.

Lord Matthew and Lady Gabrielle managed to enter a cave on the island. They could her the cries of death from their fellow ship mates, and also the laughter of the pirates. The sounds seemed to echo through the island and far out to sea.

In the mean time they went deeper, and deeper in the labyrinth of the cave to try and escape. After half an hour they stopped. Frightened they looked around, breathing hard. No one followed them. In that moment Lord Matthew fell unto the ground. Lady Gabrielle looked at her beloved; shocked, she realised that he was wounded mortally. She gently lifted him to a wall, saying that all will be well.

"My love, please listen to me. I am wounded, that unfortunately will not heal. Take my torch and my sword. You must go on and find a way out."

"No Matthew. I cannot, no I will not leave you to die."

"It is the only way, my princess. You cannot stay here and die yourself there would be no point."

Lady Gabrielle cried in Lord Matthew’s arms. She took the rose out from her pocket which Matthew had given her.

"My dear love, please take this. Though you gave it to me, I cannot leave you here with nothing. Let this symbolise our eternal bondage."

He took the rose into his hands.

"Yes my princess; my queen…. My wife" he said.

Lord Matthew said his last words with great effort he took a last breath; then he lowered his head. Lady Gabrielle cried in his arms. After a moment of mourning she slowly lifted herself up and took the torch and sword. She still looked at him with a face wet of tears but he did not respond. He could not. The rose silently reflected the torch’s light in full crimson colours shining like a wounded heart.

Finally, Lady Gabrielle walked back again trying to find another way out.

After several hours she reached an exit.

Days had passed and until a ship finally came near to the island.

She waved her hands frantically, trying to make signs until the people on the ship saw her.

*

10 years had passed and Lady Gabrielle was now married to Lord Bishop; they had children. Her husband took the whole family on a surprise trip, a trip on the ocean.

They all were having a very good time until the ship came close to a strange island. She looked astonished at it and she could not recall why was the place so familiar to her.

Her husband said that (with the help of his men) he found huge quantities of gold hidden deep within the caves of this island. This news took her breath away she remained speechless because of the joy.

As they approached the shore the family got ready to get off. The family had barely came out of the ship, a few workers ran to Lord Bishop.

"Look what we have found in one of the caves, Sir!

"What is it?" he asked.

At that moment some other workers came to the family carrying something. When they putted it down Lady Gabrielle’s heart cried out in pain, and sorrow:

It was a skeleton with a fresh, shining, bloody rose in his hands.

Things cannot be explained around us. We all are sure about ourselves. That we have found solutions and answers.

No.

Go deep within and then one may find answers; but it is not guaranteed. It’s not even guaranteed for one to find the way back.

Everything is built of many little worlds creating miracles. Everything has it’s own splendour, beauty.

Yet, the mightiest miracle, the most powerful, the unique one is Love.

Let Love always shine in your way, guiding your hearts and discover the hidden Truth.

The call whistles by my ears, my mind follows but my body is chained by those around me. I beg them silently to let me go...to let me fall into the arms of the darkness...let its call stop and its comforting words play in my mind begin. My hands bound tightly...his hands moving across my body...pain with every stoke of his fingers, pleasure running through his eyes

Standing on top of a hill, the wind flowing around me like water, i kneel down let my finger tips touch the floor...Electric like currents flow through my finger tips and through my body, shivers pass down my spine one after the other. I fall to my kness, my finger tips break contact with the floor and my body instantly feels empty and lifeless...my mind goes blank and my surroundings go black...

Sliping back into the darkness...falling back into its arms...waiting for those amazing but terrifying moments when it gets so close to taking me over completely that i cant even breathe...i scream for it to take me...take me from this pain...prevent me from hurting...prevent me from hurting those close to me....but i scream just as loud for it to stay away...i hate it with so much passion that all i desire is for it to die...I want it to perish beneath my very hand...but all i find is my hand bound tightly around my pale neck...
