New, improved pictures!

Thought I'd offer you guys another look at Chad. This one is me and Chad at Halloween:

Well, I never did post, did I? A lot has been going on since the end of October. The Halloween party was great fun, and I spent my first Thanksgiving with Chad's family. Then Chad and I spent our first Christmas together hitting both families' gatherings. Valentine's came and went and was very sweet and romantic. Then Chad and I both celebrated our birthdays in March. My Mom went into the hospital for a month just after my birthday and is still recovering and finally almost back to herself. Tish and I went to Orlando for a week in June, and she interviewed at Disney while we were there. My friend Kim got pregnant finally and is doing well. Leigh had her birthday, and I graduated from medical school. Oh yeah, and I won a psychiatry student award. And then Chad proposed to me on June 12. That's right; I'm engaged! We've set the date for October 29, 2005. And right now I'm in the middle of my first month as a psychiatry resident at UMC. All in all, it's been an interesting year, with some incredible ups and downs, but I'm happier now than I've ever been before. I hope you're all doing well too.

In more current news, Leigh, Tish, Shellie, and I are having a girls' weekend in New Orleans in 2 weeks, and my cousin is getting married this weekend. It should all be fun. That's it for now; hopefully, I'll update a little sooner next time.

Well, the costume party was a lot of fun. It was really cool to get to assemble a costume and dress up, especially since I haven't done it in about 11 or 12 years. Yay!

In fact, the entire weekend was spectacular, for various reasons.

In other news, this week I started working on the Medical-Psychiatry unit at UMC. It was really kind of like coming home; a lot of the staff remembered me from last Dec. and Jan. and were happy to see me. It was cool. The only drawback is that the psychiatry resident working there this month can be rather annoying at times. He really managed to get on my nerves yesterday, but he was a bit better-behaved today, thankfully. Anyway, I think it's still going to be a fun month.
