Memories

今聞得廖風德先生去逝的消息，腦海裡彷彿又回到了一個多月前的那幕場景。
不知不覺眼淚就這樣掉了下來。
望著電視發呆了許久，才慢慢回到現實來。
想不到事隔多日，卻是同樣的震撼，同樣的悲痛。
選擇在他上任十天前把他帶走，命運真是愛捉弄人。

世事難料，看來馬先生也要好好調養身體才有能力治理國家。 每當看到陳水扁那滿面春風，再看看馬英九憔悴蒼老的模樣，實在是說不出的諷刺。

現在真的只有感同身受這四個字能形容我的心情。

Lions for Lambs

I've officially said no to UCI and UCSD.

Just three weeks ago I would give anything for admission to their MBA programs.  It's funny how quickly and unpredictably life shifts your gear and reshuffles your priorities. At the same time you're trying your hardest to keep up and adjust to the whimsical, ever-changing nature that is reality.  One too often has not the luxury to cry or even reminesce before the unrelenting hourglass of time.  A flurry of events hit you in overwhelming waves: paralyzing, confusing, disorienting. Then before you've had a moment to regroup, the 2nd wave rushes in: emotions exploding, decisions reconsidered, opinions conflicting with each other. Just when you're able to take a breather, the last wave arrives, bringing with it the haunting loneliness, the undeniable reality, and the everlasting, dead, silence.

Then, within the confines of these walls, you are left with your own to break out of  the pitch-dark solitude. 

The first step is to embrace the sadness and use it to unchain yourself.

So far so good.
