New Blog Area...

There's a few, actually...so it pretty much depends on which topic I feel like writing about...there's myspace (which has now almost replaced my xanga as an "almost daily blog") and mychurch.org.  Yes, I have one there, too.  MyChurch.org is a place for Christians to blog, which is why I thought it was kind of fun to post there.  My church currently doesn't have a profile pic, but I'm also hoping to change that - of course, on a volunteer basis.  It's fun!  Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that there's a very good chance I'm not going to be checking on xanga for a while - here's my other blogs!

Okay?  Check me out there!

Oh, Happy Days!

Okay, so the last time I wrote anything, I wrote about this new manager named Bill...by the time I got back from somewhere (now I don't remember where - MD most likely), he had resigned.  I placed a bet that he wouldn't make it THROUGH Christmas - I lost that one...haha, he didn't even make it TO Christmas!

Cah-razy!!

Okay, way wow...

Yeah, amazing - I'M UPDATING!  Haha...okay, so since I wrote last, I've acquired a car, my best friend moved to Balitmore, I've been down there twice to see her in 3 weeks, and I got a parking ticket for $42.00 since apparently, in Baltimore, they LOVE to put the 2hr parking signs IN THE TREE CANOPY.  Now I ask you, if you have a car that's so tiny (i.e. 98 Ford Escort ZX2) and the sign is in the canopy of the tree, can you see it?  NO!

Anyway, I've moved beyond that - just my question of the year...Baltimore hates those that do not live there - and yet, they want some kind of a tourism business...you barely have time to get from one spot to the other before you end up having to go BACK to your car to move it - OR, they charge you an arm, leg, and first born to park in one of their "many" (and by many I mean maybe 3) parking garages.  Haha!

Let's see, what else?  There's drama going on, but that's nothing new...um...I'm losing my amazing job at the Morning Call at the end of the year due to a fun little *insert word* called outsourcing...yeah, our entire department (TRIBUNE wide) is going to the Phillipines - we, as employees, are not going, but the people of the Philipines are going to be paid to take phone calls from Allentown, Baltimore, St. Louis, Chicago, Denver, Colorado Springs, Los Angeles, you name it!  If you have a problem with a Tribune Paper ANYWHERE in the US, you can guarantee you will get someone who knows just enough English to tell you you cannot get a ppr.  Haha!  The subscription cancellations have already started in protest.  Apparently, Tribune gives nothing about their customers, which is ironic considering one of our mission statements (which I should know, but have little incentive to remember it, so I don't).  They obviously don't care too much about their workers, either...so yeah, America is going to the Third World countries to try to boost their economy while ours is going straight down the tubes - wow, am I glad I wrote that paper for that one class.

Um, let's see - I got a new Bible, which for me, is fun!  It's called the "So That's Why" Bible (NKJV-New King James Version), and so I'm going to have a fun time reading that - with all the extra additives.  Woot!  I also have a lot of other fun Christian Fiction to read, so I'm looking forward to that, as well.  So anyway...

For the most part, life is good.  I'm working mad hours at MCall, and Toys is just Sat/Sun - which, I can almost guarantee they're not happy about.  We have this new manager - Bill - who happens to think he's God's gift to Toys R Us, which, he's really not.  Haha, more on that later - I have some stuff to do now...ttfn!

**One hour later**

Yeah, so that lasted long...grr...Anyway, I'm in the mood to write, but I don't know if I want to deal with the computer to plug my flash drive into the back of the thing.  OH!  There's something else!  My computer broke - again.  Same deal as before...the power source broke off - so that's another $125 that I get to spend!  So, your honest opinion - do I fix it, or do I just keep saving to get a new one?  I mean, seriously...I'm getting tired of fixing it, and having it not stay fixed, and my DSL isn't happening either, but I don't have the money to cancel it - so I get to keep paying for it until my mom gets the whole cable/phone/internet thing going...That's when I get to get the network thing going (which I think I'm gonna ask my good friend Paula to set that up in our house instead of doing the whole wireless thing - I don't know yet...) but anyway, yeah...that's that.

What was I saying before?  Oh, yes...Bill - Thankfully, I don't have to work with him much (*thank you, God!*), but one of my friends, Tara, does.  She's been lugging freight around for years - since we both started there, and now all of a sudden, she's getting comments from this jack @$$ saying, "It's okay, there's a MAN here to do it now," and the like.  I about flipped when she told me that.  So at one point, I told her, "Fine, then let the 'man' do it, then.  You don't touch a thing, and you let him do all the resets, since technically, that's his job now."  But we all know how long that'll go.  Apparently, he was a manager of Giant Food Stores a while back, and left there to come to TRU.  Why anyone would do that is beyond me, but he did - maybe he's hoping for a decent Christmas discount.  Well, he's not getting any more than we do - 10%.  He's just plain nuts, and really, I'm not a huge fan of him.  He reminds me too much of Tony (which I don't think I ever went into that manager from last year - basically, he liked to sexually harrass women who worked under him).  I found out that comments such as "Here, let a MAN do it," is sexual harrassment - so that just makes it better ammo for Tara should she ever say anything to Lisa about it (Lisa being our HR director at our store).  Seriously, he's making more enemies (just by following Pam around like a sick puppy) than friends, and the last time I checked, NONE of the managers were comfortable with him...it's gonna be interesting to see if he lasts through Christmas...haha!

Ain't it funny...

I wonder how far I can get on this before I get a call...haha

Okay, so I'm at work right now - bored to tears - AGAIN...I've been here since 4:45am and it's now 6:30am, and I have received one (count them ONE) phone call all day.  I'm really starting to get, I don't know, not angry as I'm happy I have write-time, but still - this is ridiculous.  I could start at 7am on a Sunday, and have gotten some extra sleep.

Anyway, I'm going to another Reading Phillies game today - mom, dad, and me...my aunt's supposed to be showing up for a visit by the end of today, and I'm wishing more than ever that Messa was in Baltimore - I'd be taking an "extended leave."  Don't get me wrong, I love my aunt...I'm not too crazy about her dog.  He's a Great Pyrannese who has an attitude and terrirtorial problem.  When I had my dogs, he would try to fight with them over THEIR turf - though, he never got far - and I'm really tired of cleaning up after him.  He slobbers all over, he sheds all over -

6:40 - call  (finally!)

...and I now have stuffs to do...more later - maybe...

LATER

Okay, that was short lived - all of twenty minutes to do seven telemarketing starts - and the phones are ringing everywhere...BUT ON MY PHONE...ugh...I'm tired now, and almost want to ask to go home.

Anyway, what was I saying - oh!  my aunt's dog:  yeah, he's big, almost too big for my house...blah.  And like I said, he's got an attitude problem.  Now that I don't have any dogs for him to compete with (but boy do I wannem), he competes with us for territory.  Yeah, no.  MY house; MY rules.

Hah, so I'm back to being bored, and I'm almost ready to go and write an SOH journal.  Though, I don't know which journal to write - I've got a bunch of them started...grr...I haven't written too much lately...I really should start doing that again.

7:14 - call

Okay, and since the call hung up - I've cleaned out my desk drawer and my purse...ahh, the slow life - *bleh*

Anyway, talk to you peoples soon!!

Wow, it's been a while...

So, I should probably post an update.  Let's see...I started massive training at "The Call"; I got DSL for my computer (finally!); and it's only just started working correctly.  We'll see what happens tomorrow after I have this thing set up on its screensaver all night.  Grr...

You Are An INFJ
The Protector

You live your life with integrity, originality, vision, and creativity.
Independent and stubborn, you rarely stray from your vision - no matter what it is.
You are an excellent listener, with almost infinite patience.
You have complex, deep feelings, and you take great care to express them.

You would make a great photographer, alternative medicine guru, or teacher.

Haha, one of the questions in this thing is "You have a big trip coming up.  You...a) Take several days to prepare and pack...b) Do everything at the last minute."  I just thought this was amusing.  I don't just take several days.  I take several MONTHS to prepare for it.  haha!!

There's also another one called, "What drug is your personality like?" and only part of me would like to know.  Hmm...okay, it was alcohol, which makes me happy.  I really didn't need it to be something illegall.  Then I'd have problems. Hah!

Let's see, what else is there?  Really nothing much...I have this new obsession with Smallville, which entails me ordering the DVD's from deepdiscountdvd.com.  I mean, it's a bargain - $30.something a season?  Better than the $45 they want at Wal-Mart...But, I watched the season 1 finale (I already owned season 1), and thought that was completely unfair.  Now, I want to watch season 2, and it's not here yet!  :'(  Makes me sad.  Yeah, but I'll get over it.

That pretty much covers it.  I'm gonna work on a story - "Nana-Beth" to be exact - an Andi Event Journal.  Now, all I need's a song...
