| So I'm in Austin right now.....man I'm having such a great time.
Tonight Jake and David took me to see the Laramie Project....damn...I
was floored. I mean, I had read the play but that had in no way
prepared me for the emotional
rollercoaster I was embarking upon. I don't remember seeing a single
dry eye in the audience. For those of you that don't know the story, in
October of '98 Matt Shepard was brutally beaten and tied to a fence in
Laramie, Wyoming by two peers for being gay. The play is about the
people of Laramie coping with this tragedy.
Anyways the whole message of the play is about human rights. Accepting
others for who they are. I mean, we are all human and hate is
inevitable. But something has got to be done about it. We hear these
horrors stories like Laramie, Wyoming or Jasper, Texas and things are
on fire as far as civil rights goes, but there has not been any
concrete proof of change. Let's face it....things aren't
getting any better for the gay population. There will always be people
out there who attack some one because they think differently. There
will always be politicians out there that always try to enforce a
"marraige amendment", which the purpose behind itself is
unconstitutional.
It's nice to sit back and think, things are getting better for gay
people. But they arent. I mean sure things are becoming more
mainstreamed with shows like will and grace, the l word, and queer as
folk. And it's nice to see that its not such a taboo topic, but what
has it all changed? Not one damn thing. No marraige, no adoptions. Jack
shit. And it's not about getting married mind you, it's about being treated like human beings.
However, things are starting to change. January 28th, The senate
approved a gay rights bill with a 25-23 vote. It's a good start, but
that is still a VERY close vote. There should be no contest.
I'll get off my soapbox now....
Goodnight every one

| Life is good:
I got my acceptance letter today to the University of Boston.
I pissed myself. I still have to hear back from Cincinnati
Conservatory, Berkeley, UT and Marymount.
Life is confusing:
I've been racking my brain about the future. It actually physically
hurts right now cause I've got all of these thoughts racing through my
brain about what's in store for me next. I have no idea. Proverbs 27:1
Life is scary:
Somehow this guy got my number and texts me about 7-8 times a day
asking me out. Yet every time I say no. I met a guy this weekend. He
calls me just as much. When I said I wanted a bf I didn't mean a
stalker.
Life is too short:
My friends aunt passed away yesterday to cancer. It's hard to
remember that no one lives forever, and to make the most out of every
day. Be thankful you are still living.
Life is lonely:
I miss every one. It seems like the last time we all really got
together and hung out, aside from the big parties, was December.
Life is a party:
The next party at my apartment will be Friday, Feb. 24th. Mark your calendars.

| Another exciting day in the life....
So I've spent the majority of my morning up at the theatre helping build the set and paint it.....exactly what I love doing at 8 a.m. on a saturday. I hope every one gets a chance to make it out to see the show, as I have been kicking my ass into this role. I've got two comp. tickets that I have no need for so if any one wants them let me know and they are all yours.
In other news...
Lewis Libby Sucks.

He's attempting to delay his trial in order to subpoena reporters records. Boo!
Once upon a time GW Bush tried to claim that we should go to war in Iraq because Iraq was trying to buy Yellowcake Uranium from Niger, Africa to make weapons of mass destruction. Too bad a guy named Joseph Wilson said, "Uh...I don't think so, Bush." Wilson was a US diplomat, who had investigated the whole Iraq, uranium, Africa thing, and found that it was not true. The bush admin just twisted the facts. surprise surprise.
This kinda screwed over the bush administration because if the media picked up on this, Bush would be caught lying and would have to explain the REAL reason** we were going to war, as if it wasn't already clear. By the way, Wilson happens to be married to a CIA agent with a secret identity.
So to seek their revenge, some peeps from the Bush administration leak Joseph Wilson's wife's identity (Valerie Plame). This is a felony and was only done to try to intimidate any other people from going against the bush administration and the war. SCARY!!!!!
Ok, so now this has all come out and Libby (the guy from the Bush administration) has actually been charged with obstructing justice and perjury.
**oil = $$$$ = power
Suck it Libby
