About the name "Wd50"

I chose the name "Wd50" because I'm a working dad that just turned 50.   As a working dad, I spend most my time trying to make a living and being a dad.  I also teach an adult Bible study class at church and do what I can to do justice to the subject matter and the class.

This is a picture overlooking Seneca lake from "Vesper Hill."  It is one of my favorite places.

Something Interesting

In our denomination there has been concern with Calvinist theology and evangelism.  I'll admit some of the "theology speak" has complicated trying to honestly understand the "issues."  (I also know the risk I am taking in this admission as some of my Calvinist friends will take this as a confirmation of being intellectually deficient.) My wife and I listened to Paige Patterson and Albert Mohler present their different views on the subject.  We were impressed by both speakers and it helped frame the "issues" for me.  You can listen for yourself at http://www.baptist2baptist.net/b2barticle.asp?ID=291 where the streaming audio is being hosted.  You can also download a pdf file of Dr Mohler's presentation.
