Dear Dr. Moo,

What do you say to young ladies who are trying very hard to focus on their studies, but are distracted by the plethora of handsome gents all over campus? It's almost impossible to get any work done when there is always a boy to talk to. Any advice? Is the answer simply to ignore?

(P.S. This something I never struggle with; I ask on behalf of the rest of the female TMC population.)

Dear Weary in Waldock,

For one, I haven't noticed the "plethora of handsome gents" so I personally haven't had the problem.  As for not being able to focus on studies because of them, well take that up with the Lord.  Don't ignore them... for the most part you can learn a lot from them.  However, just train your thoughts to escape to another subject when you find yourself drifting into "No Man Land."

Cheers.

Dr. Moo Speaks Out About Engagement

"I would have said no! I mean, good grief! With all those people there and everything!

Well, maybe I would have said yes there, and then told him no later when everyone was gone."

Dr. Moo would also like to officially announce that the title of Bovine Poetry Queen goes to Janeeyre19 for "Brand Me On Your Heart."    It is reprinted here in its entirety for your reading pleasure.

BRAND ME ON YOUR HEART ~ Dedicated to Dr. Moo.  ~ Taken from a loose translation of Proverbs 32.

Brand me on your heart, sweet darlin',

Brand me on your heart.

Ain't nothin' as sweet

As boot-covered feet;

You and I shall never part.

Brand me on your heart, sweet darlin',

Brand me on your heart.

When those spurs o' yours jingle,

Ya make my heart just tingle,

From all sense do I depart.

Brand me on your heart, sweet darlin',

Brand me on your heart.

As I brush them cows

I think about how's

You and me ain't never gon' be apart.

Brand me on your heart, sweet darlin',

Brand me on your heart.

When you go a-shootin',

You know I'm a-rootin,

'Cause my cowboy is pistol smart.

Brand me on your arm, sweet darlin',

Brand me on your arm.

It takes you no effort

To deal with a heffer (t),

And darlin', that's real charm.

Brand me on your arm, sweet darlin',

Brand me on your arm.

Seein' you with an ax

Just makes me relax,

And I never have need for alarm.

Brand me on your arm, sweet darlin,

Brand me on your arm.

Many cows I have smelt,

But none make me melt,

Like the scent of you on the farm.
