Sorry about not keeping up with the band's events. Sometimes they get a little hectic.

Anyhoo, on October 9th, Band-Aides West sponsered their annual Spaghetti Supper fundraiser! They raised more than enough money with such events as the cakewalk, the live and silent auctions, and Bingo. In addition, the West Pride Drumline and Overland Express put on outstanding performances. Check out these pictures:

In addition, the West Pride Marching Band earned a "Superior" rating at K-State on October 3rd! Way to go guys!
Also, on October 14th, the Jazz Band/Freshman Band/Orchestra concert took place. The night was quite successful, with performances by Jazz Lab, Overland Express, Freshman Band, Freshman Orchestra, and Symphonic Strings. It was a perfect night for some great music!

Well, that's all for now! Stay tuned!

Well, it's true! School has begun! And as usual... the football field has been actively occupied by the hard-working Marching Band.

In addition, Overland Express and Jazz Lab are working hard for ther upcoming performance in October. This concert also includes a performance by this year's Freshman Band as well! So be sure, if you are not involved in one of these bands, to attend! It will be a very enjoyable, and musical concert.

If you have any questions, suggestions, or thoughts, leave a "comment"! Thanks!

My apologies for failing to update sooner.

Percussion Camp was a success, and the drumline has continued to grow in music, discipline, and skill! Whoop!

In addition, Band Camp could be considered a blast as well, from the marching outside for hours on end, to the nice burst of water on the last day. The band has learned the entire opener, marching and playing, and has practiced pre-game thousands of times only to become sufficient in it as well.

Coming soon:
  • The band picnic will be held on August 31, at Shawnee Mission Park. See the band website for more information.
  • The first day of school is August 16, at 7:40 A.M. However, for band students, don't forget to report to the band room by 7:00 A.M. You're on time if you're early.

That's all for now! Stay tuned for more! And if you have any suggestions, questions, or remarks, feel free to leave a "comment"!

    Time:  9:00 a.m. staging for 10:00 parade

Who:  All West band students from last year, alumni, and parents (not incoming Freshmen)
