I have a voice

Yes, I voted yesterday.  I think my dad called me like four times to remind me to vote, once while I was voting.  I got up this morning to check the results.  Wow.  Somebody should inform Dan Brown, Author of the Da Vinci Code, that this is a close vote.  Anyways it should be interesting the next few years with the political hierarchs being a "touch" left.  One thing that I'm truly worried about is Adm. 2.  If it does pass and say in the next someodd years it produces some form of cure, then that is just going to open the door to inhumane medical practices beyond our imagination.  Well, thats all I got on that.  I'm taking a class that is studding the history of Christian theology.  It's almost as cool as voting on those touch screens.

The EDGE

Ok here's the deal.  I would like a little feedback, or a lot if you got it, concerning the EDGE.  This thing is for you guys, so please tell me what you would like to add or take away.  Also, give me any idea's on how to improve some of the things that we are doing already.  I'll get you started with a sample topic: the Message.  Is it flying over the heads of new people?  Does it just completely stink all together?  Should I address more salvific (salvation) topics?  Please let me know what you think.  Your suggestion wont hurt my feelings because I want this to be for you guys.  So suggest away.

The Answer

I was going to post my own version of a follow up to the last post but Melissa beat me to it.  The reason why I'm posting it is because some people may not check the comments and I want everyone who read the first post to read this one.  Enjoy.

"hmm well since nobody else seems to want to answer your question, i will because i was really thinking about this today at school.  At first when you asked us this last night i was like no way! but now after thinking about it my answer is that it wouldn't make sense not to worship God anymore.

First of all, God created us and he commands us to worship and serve him.  God is the ultimate creator and He could do anything He pleases.  Fear for God alone should be enough to continue serving Him.

Second of all, the only way to experience true joy and happiness is through God by loving, worshipping and serving Him.  Doing anything else in search of happiness would not only be selfish, but you would never be satisfied. You would always be looking for more and never find enough because there would always be something missing.  Therefore, life would always be miserable because you would never be genuinely at peace.

Thirdly, going off what you said last night, if you don't want to serve God anymore just because He won't save you, then are you worshipping God just to escape hell, or are you worshipping God for who he is?

I am personally glad that you asked this question because not only did it give me something to think about during a boring movie in language, but it's really made me think about my motives."
