  • Day 62/64 - 2/17/08 to 2/19/08

    Well, with consctruction going on and whole other slew of things happening, I lost track of three days. Not sure exactly what happened in these days, but here's the explanation for why they are missing.

  • Day 61 - 2/16/08

    The luggage is here! It got here late in the evening, after supper. But it's here!!! So, now everyone is happy. My singing and playing guitar has been censored. I don't mind, though. Of course it disappoints me and makes me sad, but it's okay. The work today went slower than day one, but we still got much accomplished. I spent the day as sand filter-guy and cement mixer-dude. I feel that my Spanish is really improving! I'm spending a lot of time with Honduran named Sadi. He's a pretty cool guy. I've found a large amount of rocks to show Hermano Oscar when I get back to Jinotega. They are amazing! I can't wait to show him.

  • Day 60 - 2/15/08

    We began construction today! We got a LOT done on the walls. But, the bad news is that I am severely sunburnt. When we got back to Hotel Quan, a truckload of luggage arrived. Everyone got excited only to discover that the luggage belonged to a different group. So, third day for the Michiganians and still no bags. Thanks Continental.

  • Day 59 - 2/14/08

    A day I thought would be easy - I was wrong. It got off to a slow start, but once things started up at mid-morning, it was non-stop. First, we went to the worksite. Wow. It is on the pinnacle of a mountain overlooking Comayagua. Literally "the church on a hill". Then we went to an orphanage called "The Refugee Camp". It feeds over one hundred kids every day. Then, we went to another orphanage called "House of Love". Though there are only twenty kids here, the impact on thier lives is truly tremendous and the story of the man who started it is equally compelling. I hace it on film. Then, after all that, we managed to squeeze in an hour of shopping and supper at Wendys (yes there is a Wendys here!) before going to church at the Avance Misionero here in Honduras. The worship was phenomally refreshing! So, I'm exhausted (What else is new?). And we start work tomorrow... I think. Oh yeah, I'm making a video documentary of this trip in Honduras. It looks good.

  • Day 58 - 2/13/08

    Had a dream last night. In it, I heard this song.

    Strange, huh? I don't think I've ever heard it before... But it sounds good and I'm gonna use it!

    Later I was reading in Leviticus 3 and God gave me these verses. I've named the song "Peace Offering".

    Verse 1

    So come,
    present yourself without blemish,
    Before the Lord,

    Verse 2

    So come,
    Be an offering made by fire,
    Before the Lord,

    Verse 3

    So come,
    Slay the bull of your flesh,
    Before the Lord,

    Verse 4

    So come,
    Make a peace offering,
    Before the Lord,

    Rap (Don't know about this part)

    It is a perpertual action.
    Present yourselves before this awsome God.
    You are the peace offering before the Lord.
    Sit and read His word as He reveals things unseen.
