I guess it is time for an update. I have a job now as a medical transcriptionist. It is a job that I could do from home, but since it is over the internet and we only have dial-up at home, I go to Papa's office to use the high-speed. The doctors dictate it, then I can listen over the phone and type it out. It seems like it would be really easy, but it ISN'T. People ask if I can type really fast. The answer is no. But it really takes me longer to figure out what the doctor is saying (or meaning to say) and then figuring out the spelling, punctuation, format, and a rough attempt at grammer than it does to actually type it. Some of the doctors have an accent or mumble or correct themselves, and it can be difficult to figure out what on earth they are saying. Sometimes what they say comes out really funny. On the dictation I worked on yesterday, the doctor said something about the upper extremities on the right side, as though the poor guy had multiple right arms.

Some of the things I did today were the following: I walked, taught a piano lesson, made bananna bread, studied, held a little baby, went shopping for material for a formal dress for Katie, and worked on a railing for a loft in the cabin. Oh, and I looked up in the dictionary the plural of platypus. It is either platypusses or platypi. But I didn't just now check the spelling, so don't quote me on that. But the plural is not platypussies. Just for your information. And I am told that they don't have feathers. Oh well.

There was a wild rabbit nest in the front yard with 7 baby bunnies. This evening I saw the mother rabbit with at least 3 of the little bunnies with her. I like bunnies.

I had to have a freckle amputation this morning. Now I have 7 stitches.

My family is building a cabin in the woods. Very fun.

The weather was beautiful here today.

Still studying medical transcription.

Can God make a rock so big He cannot lift it?

That question really bothered me, so I prayed about it.

Let's think about a big rock. A real, real, real big rock, say, as big as the moon, or bigger. Lets heave our rock into outer space. Now, lets go try to lift it. Which way is up?

The point is this: we think inside the box; God is big enough to think outside the box.

Today Rosie and I were making cookies. I let her crack the eggs. She is only 5, so I was a little unsure of how she would do keeping the shells out. She cracked the first egg, opened it, and totally missed the bowl, pouring the egg on the counter. So we grabbed it and plopped most of it in the bowl where it belonged. She tried to wipe some of the remainder off the counter into her hand but it slipped onto the floor instead. She got most of the next egg in the bowl, but still ended up pouring some of that egg on the counter as well. I think the third egg was alright. Other than the eggs, she did a super job helping with the cookies. I love that girl.

Oh, by the way, I don't think I had to pay the extra $50 under-25-years-old car rental fee! I asked, and they said not to worry about it!

I really enjoyed Julia and Garret's wedding. It was so nice to be able to see Verity people again.

Happy spring!!! Did you know that you can stand an egg on end on the first day of spring? I thought the guy who told us that was just teasing, but a couple of my brothers actually got it to work. They stood a couple of eggs on end! I was impressed. I want to change my site to a bunch of bright happy spring colors, but it is late and I am stressed out by how much I have to do tomorrow.

I tried to go running with a friend today. I am in such bad shape. I can only run about a tenth of a mile at a time. But with practice ...

So the pictures below - I didn't know how to put words with each picture. The one of the icicles I took this year. There were some bigger ones but I didn't get pictures of those. I still don't know how tall they were.

The lake is about 5 miles from my house. I took that one a while ago obviously.

The one with all the snow and trees and sky is the view that I can (could - that one wasn't this year) see from either the downstairs window or my bedroom window, I'm not sure which. I might be able to see more of the hill from my room.

The waterfalls and bridge are in a park near my house - also probably somewheres around 5 miles. Notice the green leaves. Now that park is probably mostly all ice. It is closed for obvious safety reasons this time of year.
