We're an intelligent bunch. :)

What do you think of when you hear the word "evolution"? Almost everyone thinks of Darwin, "The Father of Evolution," but sometimes people hear blasphemy or talk of the devil. That is a common response from the so called "christians" of this world. First of all, let me just say that i don't believe we evolved from monkeys, but I don't disregard or throw out EVERYTHING that Darwin stated. Did he just happen to observe something and make up a crackpot theory about it? No. In my opinion, what Darwin observed was an occurrence made possible because of God. Wait.....did I just say God? Yes. God. But how? There's no way that God and evolution can coexist! Gasp!

What people tend to neglect and don't care to understand is that PEOPLE DID NOT LOOK LIKE WE DO NOW AND NEITHER DID ANIMALS. Am I coming in a little bit more clearly? Evidence shows that people and animals had a different shape or build to them many, many years ago (aka, dinosaurs/cavemen). How downright ignorant for someone to say, "Well, animals look like they do right now and so did people. I mean, i see them right here in my textbook and on those colorful pages of Zoobooks." Uh, if thats so then cars, buildings, trees, mountains, etc. must have looked exactly the same way thousands/millions of years ago. And as we all know, they didn't. But those things are very obvious to spot in change. People and animals on the other hand, are not. Sometimes ignorance isn't a certain individuals fault, especially from all the garbage on TV, radio, newspaper, Rush Limbaugh......

Why couldn't God have started life/man/animals/plants and then let the nature that he created take its course? A better word i can put on "evolution" would be "adaptation." We could NOT have survived this long as human beings unless we evolved and adapted. Hair color got lighter, fingers got longer, eyes got wider, skin got darker, people got taller, and the list could go on for days. You see, God knew that the Earth would change over time, so, He made it to where life could evolve and adapt and have the capability for growth. Its actually genius! Its not that man evolved from primordial soup, but actually that God made man and life so he could evolve to adapt and live.

Do I believe everything Darwin said?
Absolutely not.
Do I believe everything Christian leaders or theologists say?
Absolutely not.
Simple facts: 1)Everyone is human (meaning we have flaws in our theories and opinions.)
2)There is only One true God (and no, He's not angry and sending everyone to Hell.)
3)There is a lot of ignorance in the world (just what I said.)

I wonder what Darwin would say about evolution if he saw a living cell under today's microscope or used our technology?

Hmmm.......

3:27.....and counting...

Time.
What is time?

Time was created in order to make a way to tell when certain tasks had to be done or to give man some sort of idea as to when they would have a new day, month, season, etc. In other words, it was created to make man's life easier. HA. As all of us know very well, that is the biggest load of hoo-ha to ever be speculated. Time has been the downfall of man ever since it was thought up. Before "time", people ate when they were hungry, answered the "call of nature" when it asked, went to bed when they were tired, and did things when it "felt" right. Today, however, we put our faith in time. It has become our master and us, sadly, it's slave. Did you know that, on average, married couples devote only about 30 minutes a week to intimacy or love because they are so busy and have to follow a such a tight time schedule? I would hate to know how much time they actually spent together at all. That makes me really sad, ecspecially when marriage means SO much more than that little bit of time. When you have to put a time on LOVE, you know there's a problem somewhere. I'm suprised there hasn't been a religion like "Chronoism" where they serve Chronos: God of Time and in the place of the cross, there would be clocks and instead of the all famous "cross symbol" you do with your hands, you would make your hands into whatever time it was after you finished praying. Kinda funny the more i think about it.

Now, the downfall is that time is a double edged sword. On the one hand, time controls our life. (Which is what i stated earlier). On the other hand, time lets us fix problems and solve whatever conflict we may have with ourselves or others. (I just made a time joke and didn't even realize it...ya know...with the "hands"). That also raises another question: Is man's time the one we use or is it from the much greater source....God. I mean, how does one measure an incident in their lives? Can you? "Just give it time." I have heard that phrase SO many times and quite frankly it's a love/hate relationship. It's great if you're the one that needs the time, but it's a pain when you're waiting on something or someone else. Sigh....

Time gives us a crazy mixed emotion that will never be understood, but one thing is certain....time will run out eventually and it isn't getting any slower. Enjoy your life, seek God and give him praise and give your Love to the one you Love because you never know when your....time....is up.

the sugary smell of springtime....

Well, its that time again. Spring. It's such a nice time of year and everything gets a whole lot greener and more Lovely.....both in nature and in our lives. With the most important holiday in our midst, it's important that we stop to realize the holiday and the season. Jesus has such a way of Loving us. I have just become a Lover of nature (and yes, i know YOU did all the time)  :) and all it has to offer. I mean, i have always admired the outdoors and nature, but now it just takes a whole different, deeper meaning. God shows so much Love to us when we just get away. I know i've talked about this, but i just Love....well...Love.

its enough to make me cry....

Been having a thought lately. Now, normally i don't have alot to think about. Usually it's school and petty problems i might have. But, lately i've noticed something miraculous and heart breaking at the same time. I've had the enviroment on my heart. Lately, when i walk outside, an emotion strikes me that normally i wouldn't notice: sadness. What have we become? As humans, it's easy to forget about things that don't concern us directly, but sadly this problem with our laziness and the care of our enviroment is slowly creeping up into a serious crisis. Now, not only is it sad the way we treat and don't take care of our surroundings, but also the bigger meaning of the "outdoors". I think the reason i've been feeling so sad about it is because.....God made this. God gave this to us. How foolish the mighty have become. Remember the line, "...purple mountains majesty..."? Oh, how i would Love to be on those mountains.....then again i would be forgetting my point. God made it ALL. There is so much wonder to behold in our backyards. We can all learn something from just stepping outside. See the trees? See how they sway and rustle in the wind giving God praise? See the grass? How it bows before him? Even they give praise to God in spite of the condition. They literally praise God through the storm. What does that say about us? About our laziness? That is proof that we can't escape God and that even nature can teach us His Love. See why it is such a sadness what we're doing? We're killing the one thing that He gave for us to treasure, take care of, and remember Him by. God is in every breeze, every rain, every sunray, and just the very fabric of nature. Let Him speak to you through, and let us take care of, the wonder we call......home.

hmmm.....no wonder birds sing so beautifully.....
