| Dear Parents, I hope you all had an excellent Children's Day yesterday! This week we will be celebrating another awesome aspect of childhood: Nursery Rhymes! We have learned so many rhymes this year so we want to celebrate all we have accomplished! This Friday we will have our Nursery Rhymes Party. We will play games and make some interesting foods to celebrate all the Nursery rhymes we've learned! Please remember to dress your child in costume on Friday! We have learned: Baa Baa Black Sheep, Deedle, Deedle, Dumpling, Georgie Porgie, Hey Diddle Diddle, Two Little Blackbirds, Humpty Dumpty, Jack and Jill, Jack be Nimble, Little Boy Blue, Little Miss Muffet, Mary Had a Little Lamb, Mary Mary Quite Contrary, Old Mother Hubbard, The Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe, Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater,The Queen of Hearts, Sing a Song of Six Pence, Twinkle, Twinkle, Wee Willie Winkie, Down by the Station, This Little Piggy went to market, The cat came piping out of hte barn, AND This old man. This week we are focusing on the long I sound in phonics and our words of the week are: new ride saw under white We are finishing our unit in plants this week and we will be moving on to our last unit! We will be studying the properties of water. In Social Studies we will also be completing our unit on Economics (money, basic needs etc...) so we will have a test later this week.
