I just realized I've not mentioned price on these dipes, so I should share, note all prices are in CAD.
BumGenius 2.0 I bought in a package of 6 for $120 + tx , which included the insert. They cost $20.64/per diaper, so you can save by buying more then one if you know you'll like them. I took a chance on someone else's recommendation of them and bought six. I bought them from
The Diaper Diva and had a great experience with the owner. She's emailed me several times now answering all the questions I have had and is a pleasure to deal with.
Mommy's Touch retails for 22.75? But I bought it on sale for much less then that as it was a discontinued pattern. Mommy's Touch do not include the insert, which is extra, and depending on what kind you get, can be another $6.
The Babyluv BoutiqueMy
Fuzzibunz $22 each for the solid colours, and for a pattern, like Tash is sporting in this photo (pink gingham floral, I bought 2 of this pattern an done of the zoo) was $24. Fuzzibunz also include the insert.

I got them for a bit cheaper then that per dipe since I bought around 12, so I saved probably .50/dipe. I bought them locally from a representative for Punkin kids. Also like the other diapers I've reviewed, the FBs are not OS (one size) they come in small, medium and large. But I've begun to learn that OS dipes, while they will grow with your child, might be a bit big/bulky for a newborn, so you might still find yourself looking for a 'small size' dipe until your little one grows a little.
I bought these about 2 weeks ago now? and so far have been very happy with them. After using the BGs for a week, I was not so sure how I'd feel about snaps, but I really do not find them to be that much of a hassle. Of course Tash is not wiggling or trying to get away from me when I put her dipe on, so I might have a completely different opinion once that happens.

I love the colours & patterns and they've made a good daytime diaper, but I have had problems occasionally with them leaking at night. I think I could solve this though by adding more inserts in the pocket, even now I have a few that can be triple folded, but since I know the BGs work great a night, I just use those instead. I've also had zero problems with getting her pants over them, but she's is in 12-18 now, so there is a bit more room then say newborn clothes.
My only complaint so far is that after only 3 washings, the elastic around the waist went on one of N's bubblegum coloured FB. I thought, ok it happens, so I contacted the person I bought them from and she emailed me back that the company likes the consumer to contact them directly, and gave me a link. I had to fill out an RMA, package up my dipe, mail it back to them, wait for them to repair it and mail it back. Apparently somewhere in there they also refund me the shipping cost to send it to them. I've not heard of this (elastics going) often, but I would have much preferred to just have the dipe replaced by the seller (it was brand new, not a second or used) and they deal with fixing it.
One thing I've added to our cloth diaper routine is a kushies f
lushable liner. Owen was having issues with her poop, and even though she's on solids and it's 'thicker', it was still not just 'rolling' off the dipe, it took a bit of swishing in the flush. With the Kushies disposable liner, it just pulls off and you drop it in the flush, very little mess. It really did not bother me, but I wanted my husband on board and not the only one changing her diapers, so this was a good compromise. The only negative thing I've heard so far about the liners is that some babies get a rash from them so can't use them.
After about 3 weeks now of changing them, he told me today that he actually likes them better then disposables. We will definitely be using them from the very beginning if we have a 2nd child.

ETA: I did a typo on the Kushie Liners, they are
flushable not disposable, so you just peel it off, drop it in the flush and flush it down the toilet.

You can also purchase from The Extraordinary Baby Shoppe the same thing, called "Bioliners" which are also flushable. They both look like this;
"These liners are flushable, biodegradable,
safe to use with a septic system. 100 sheets/roll, 25x36 cm cm. These
liners are whitened using Hydrogen Peroxide(no chlorine bleach). If a
liner is too big for the diaper, simply cut it down to size --
economize and cut the liners in half for small diapers!"These cost $6.00, which is what I paid for my Kushie flushable liner. I bought the Kushie ones because I needed them "right then" and they were available locally instead of buying online. Another item you can invest in if you do not want to go the liner route, is a sprayer for your toilet. I considered it, but then decided not to. I did read the other day though of someone that had it that still uses it for clean ups when her little boy hits the seat of the flush instead of in the flush when he pees.
They cost around $40 for them. While I see it as handy, and it would
have been my 2nd choice if the liners would have given N a rash, I just
did not want 'extra' stuff in my bathroom and I like the convenience of
just pulling the liner off and dropping it in the flush. The other truth of the matter is, I did not want to spend $40 on it and I'm not all that coordinated, so I can just imagine water going everywhere but in the flush.

I'm surprised no one has asked me yet how I carry around poopy diapers in my diaper bag when I'm out all day.

As the weeks have went on, I've added the following to my stash:
- Blueberry One Size Minky Pocket (3)
- Happy Heiny Pockey
- Bumkins AIO
So at some point I'll chat about those ones too. I'm leaving all my cloth diaper posts public for anyone who might want to search them out again later one. You can also read awesome reviews from other fellow consumers at the
Diaper Pin.
