| When The World Found Out"Following the enormous conjecture in the press over the last two weeks,
I wish to confirm that I have been tested HIV positive and have AIDS. I
felt it correct to keep this information private to date to protect the
privacy of those around me. However, the time has come now for my
friends and fans around the world to know the truth and I hope that
everyone will join with my doctors and all those worldwide in the fight
against this terrible disease. My privacy has always been very special
to me and I am famous for my lack of interviews. Please understand this
policy will continue." -Freddie Mercury
"A little over 24 hours after issuing the statement, Freddie Mercury
died at home in the presence of close friends, at the age of 45."
Written ironically before he died...
I'm just the shadow of the man I used to be
And it seems like there's no way out of this for me
Too much love will kill you
Just as sure as none at all
It'll drain the power that's in you
Make you plead and scream and crawl
And the pain will make you crazy
You're the victim of your crime
Too much love will kill you
Every time
Freddie Lives

| Hey everyone!
XC is over
Its the feeling of insecurity as the finish line approaches and the guy
next to you is working just as hard as you. The only question is "am i
going to beat you, or are you going to beat me?"
Its the feeling when that person passes you and you decide to just let
him/her go. You lost, it's over. Then from nowhere you speed up and the
finish line gets closer and that person ahead of you gets closer. There
is nothing in you and it is hurting everywhere. In your arms, your
legs, you cant breathe. Somehow you pass this stranger before the
finish line and turn around and shake his/her hand. You just made a new
friend.
It's the feeling of friendship when you walk out of the finish chute
dripping with sweat and your teamates surround you and say "your finish
was awesome!" You then get a sweaty hug or two. They are there for you.
It's the feeling of satisfaction. When the truth hits you that you couldn't have gone any faster, you smile to yourself.
This is why I ran XC this year. Not for states.
what about you?
