A lot of people thought that my last post (before the Halloween one) was a joke. Though I may have made it sound like a joke, it really wasn't. That was truth. I had a lot of feedback on that in private messages as well. I think that a lot of you women are in denial! I hope that you prove me wrong, I really do. Moving on...

So in thinking of these differences between men and women, I have come to the conclusion that women are far superior human beings. There are many reasons for this, but I'll just choose the most fascinating one for me. Have you ever noticed that looks don't really matter that much to a woman? I mean, for sure they see good looking men, but looks don't really matter to them after a while. I find that so amazing!

For instance, they meet him:

Honestly, he's not so easy on the eyes. He's not fugly or anything, but he is far from being a magazine model. But he has a great personality. He has a great sense of humor and is always around...because he likes you. Pretty soon you women don't see him like this anymore. Now when you look at him, you see him like this:

But really, he hasn't changed at all...the only thing that's changed is the way you see him. Other people wonder (I know I do) "What the hell does she see in him?" or "How the hell did that guy get her?"----->

You know why that is? I think it's because women have the ability to see our potential and our heart. They can walk around in public places and be proud of their ugly man. This is the most amazing thing to me!!!

But what about men? When men meet women, the most important thing is the physical appearance. Sure, there may be times that this isn't the case...but the vast majority of times it's the physical appearance that they notice.

But after seeing her and getting to know her for a few months, and after finding out that she can be a real bitch, they see her like this:

I find that so amazing! Why is that? This is my question to all of you tonight:

Why do women see men differently than men see women?

As always I loved the comments! I swear, I think people on my site leave the best comments on Xanga! My good friend and I were talking about this yesterday. Okay, here's my answer.

Most women have the ability to see men with the eyes of love. Once they fall for a man, they really don't care what he looks like. They see him for what he is and not so much his physical appearance. This sounds a little too politically correct for my taste. So I think I'll just sum it up with the picture I've been looking two days for:

Because women have boobs and a vagina, which completely overpowers a man in ever sense. Nothing can overpower THE VAG! Nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your previous post, although it wasn't a joke, amused me greatly. I see your point, but I claim the right to laugh at it all the same :P

I am far too tired to try to share any thoughts at the moment, but perhaps I will be able to offer more of an opinion for you later. Not that it's extremely significant or anything, by the time I've posted this no doubt about ten other people will have very thoroughly expressed their opinions. Ah well.

Their personality makes them sexier
He could be gorgeous but if he's dumb as a doorknob or conceited, I have no attraction to him.
Now take some "average" guy who is witty, smart, and driven, and you have a recipe for a heartbreaker.

Actually...my boyfriend is extremely physically attractive, and after two years, I find him just as hot as I did when we met 8 years ago. However it is true that the older I get, the more I notice that personality is more important than the physical. For example I can see an extremely hot guy out with his equally hot friends and appreciate the physical...but if I had to choose between him and the average looking guy out with his friends where everyone is cutting up and having a good time, the second guy will win out every time. I'd rather spend the rest of my years laughing and loving with a man instead of waiting on him to finish plucking his eyebrows.

After all, what woman wants to date/marry a man that's prettier than her??

Women's agenda's are different than men's. A lot of times a woman indeed sees the man that he could be but isn't, and then we wonder why he doesn't fulfill that potential after a time. Men just take things more at face value.

HEH. professor spiral has no comment on the concept that tricking a girl into thinking you are nice and humorous and caring will make her think you look like DMV. I tried it once, and she still thought I looked like a soggy swamp-creature. Hell, I tried it twice, actually. I dunno. I think that living with "big momma" isn't a big help.

I dated a "pretty boy" for a bit, but oh my god, he was so boring and stupid. Even the really hot sex wasn't worth it after a bit.
So, I agree with steph843. She pretty much summed it up for me.
But every so often, I meet a yummie guy, and no matter how dumb he is, I would still like to devour him.

And yeah...that Dragonskyr is one sexy bitch, face-fuzz or not.

You know you're picking the worst of men and the best of women. That's not fair. There are evil women who run over their husbands with cars and steal their paychecks for dope. I've met those... There are evil women who will feed a man lots of drugs and make him marry her while he's high. I've met her too... And... what about the ones who, after more than 20 years of marriage, suddenly decide that they no longer have any interest in being wife or mother and declare they want a divorce right after Christmas? I know her too...

What about the man who stays with the miserable junkie woman and loves her anyway for years - even though it leads him through the pits of hell trying to keep her from overdosing? The man who accidentally gets his girlfriend pregnant and really does marry her out of a sense of honor? The man who works himself into an early grave in the quarry to pay for a house and food for his wife and children? I know those men as well.

I know the bad men and the good women too... I'm just sayin... there are lots on both sides.

You ever wake up next to your woman and see her with her makeup smeared and her hair all retarded to the point where she looks like a crack whore and still tell her she's beautiful? Or she has a hardcore head cold and just sneezed all over herself and you find yourself thinking she's cute?

RYC: I think it's true. He looks great all the time and never has to work at it. You should see me in the mornings. It's anything but pretty.

I was just joking about the ass whoopin'. She and I have been friends for 15 years. Besides, it'd be such an easy win for me that it wouldn't seem fair. Ha!

Personally? I knew some really really attractive guys growing up. They were assholes. Every last one. It was always the guys that weren't hot shit that managed to make time to talk to you, or help you carry books to the store room, or held the door open so you could walk through. As I got older, the hotter guys got some manners, but for the most part, they stayed the same. Hot guys are hot, and they will stay hot, but being hot on the outside isn't enough if all that's inside is hot air. I'll take a guy that can make me laugh over someone who looks good any day.

Then again, maybe I don't care as much because I have no intention of starting a relationship with any of the guys I know.
