I'm listening to Y Kant Tori Read. Am I too awesomely bad for my own good or what? So I bought a DVD player and it will actually play PAL. It was $36, can you believe that? I got to watch my Italian-dubbed Anime of The Sleeping Beauty I bought at a kiosque in Florence, after all this time. *sigh* No one chooses and dubs shojou like the Italians--really. Tonight we all made a midnight run to pick up Andrew Morningstar in Tulsa. God I hate Tulsa. I wrote a poem to explain why.
I put my hand up to my face
to peer out over some familiar place
When I looked, all I could see
was the bougiest bouge
in all of the bourgeoisie.
In Tulsa nothing matters
but being upper middle class.
The crackheads to the north exist in some parallel universe
with the genuine upper classes of Europe and the East Coast--
Hollywood moves back and forth.
They believe that they're classy and truly rich
that it just can't get any better than this
As princes sit in their castles, and artists feel each day,
there in the upper middle the Tulsans shall stay
their luxury SUVs parked away
Wallowing blindly in the banal glories of the bourgeoisie
