| … An American surgeon who has patented a device that triggers
an orgasm has begun a clinical trial approved by the Food and Drug Administration.
So far only one woman has completed the first stage of the trial, and
a second has agreed to take part. Volunteers will have electrodes inserted
in their spine and be connected to a pacemaker-size machine implanted
under the skin to heighten their sexual pleasure.
no joke.

| freud once said something like "if a person is in a state of denial, and it is working well for them, then leave them be. there's too much hurt in the world. why introduce more?" when i first heard this, i was interested. I like to know the truth, no matter how harsh it can be. But not everybody is like me, and it is selfish to think that what I want and can deal with is what everybody else should be doing. A woman's husband dies. She refuses to attend a funeral because she believes that he is on a trip. her hope of his returning keeps her happy. do you tell her that he will be back soon or do you try to convince her that her husband is dead? a moral dilemma. it's her comfort versus yours. her denial is not hurting anyone, except, perhaps in the eyes of another, herself. however, if you tell her over and over again that he is gone and finally break through to her, who is hurting who? here's another twist. she's old and her time is soon. do you leave her be and let her rest in peace, or do you tell her her husband is dead in order to make yourself more comfortable?

| is it me or is everyone, in some way, having dreams of rescue?
religion is faith built upon the belief in a supreme being. In Christianity, the Lord will rescue all those who believe in Him on Judgment Day. Those who follow Jesus and his teachings, and abide by the Lord's law shall be granted admission to heaven. Enlightenment, in Bhuddism, is a rescue. As is becoming one with Brahman in Hinduism.
Now if faith is not the source of rescue, then human emotion is. Those, like me, seek love and in love the solution to many of life's problems. The second solution to life's problems is a source of income. If one is successful, and in love, life will be happy and comfortable, ideally.
Speaking of ideally, there are the idealists and the dreamers. Their dreams are their rescuers, and in some instances, they are successful. Daydreamers dream to rescue themselves from boredom.
People in great emotional distress find themselves contemplating suicide. In death they hope to be rescued, to avoid the pain of living and to find comfort in death, an end to continual pain and suffering.
On a lighter note, as of sunday i will be on a balcony far away from everything, with only the ocean in view and the occasional thunderstorm clouds and lightning in the distance. The ocean will be the deepest blue you will have ever seen and, if lucky, I will get to see dolphins and flying fish. It makes nothing easier, no matter how much i have to drink. and i hate being lied to.

Softly Now,
You owe it to the world
And everyone knows that you're my favourite girl
But there's some things in life that are not meant to be
I'm not meant for you and your not meant for me
Here's to our problems
And here's to our fights
Here's to our achings
And here's to you having a Good life
From Me
Good Life
Softer Now,
You owe it to yourself
And don't think that you will be left on the shelf
Cause there's someone for you and there's someone for me
Like me you'll meet them eventually
Here's to your lover
And here's to my wife
Here's to your children and here's to you having a good life
From Me
Good Life
Baby Baby Baby Baby
Baby Baby Baby Baby Baby Baby
Louder Now,
You've lost all your pain
You're married with children and happy again
And now I'm regretting the move that I made
Fatal mistakes are so easily made
Enough of my problems they only cause fights
Forget that I rang you
And promise you'll have such a
Beautifully happy and painlessly romantic
Good life
From Me
Good Life
