Oh my god! That was the flippin best game ever! Holy crap... They played for 2 hours and then ended up going into pentaly kicks! It was just flippin awesome! Portugal scored in the 2nd 15min. over time but we were like two yards off sides so it didn't count!?!?... Then we didn't allow England to score, made it to PK's and stuck it to them! Holy crap! We made 3 of our 5 PK's! Ronaldo making the winnig one, by using a studder step to fake out the keeper and he nailed it into the top right corner! England had no chance on this game! Portugal won with out a fight! Ricardo made some awesome saves and guessed every single PK shot right! I love this game!

yeah what can I say... Portugal is just the best team out there...no matter what anyone else says! Just look at them, they beat England with two of their starters out of the game the whole time!
Wow these last few days have been some of the best soccer that I have seen in a long time.
Portugual and the Netherlands tieing the all time record for most yellow cards in a single game and breaking the record for the most red ones, with a total of 20 cards.Cristiano Ronaldo (my fav. player) got injured in the middel of the 1st half and was taken out for the rest of the game. I now think that was a good idea, because if he would have been left in I think he might have got a red card with how aggressive he plays.
Italy and the Australia almost went into overtime, but then the ref gave Italy a PK in the 95th min which was also the final min. of stoppage time. Italy nails the ball into the top left corner to win the game and also advance to the quarterfinals. They will have to play the winner of Switzerland and Urkraine, which will take place later today.
England and Ecuador played out a clean game on the other hand. England ended up winning this one though thanks to free kick by Beckham. From about 60' feet out #7 hits a free kick by bending the ball perfectly, right into the corner of the goal. Ecuador was not able to come out of that slump and did end up losing it.
Germany and Sweden have also vs. each other. This game I did not see but from what I have heard Sweden was not anywhere near it's top game. They took a beating and lost that game a sad to say 2-0...
Argentian and Mexico were the only other team to play. Both teams in this case did get a goal but Mexico fell short at the end. Both teams put up a strong fight the whole game and it was a beautiful goal by Mexcio, but it still wasn't enough to pull out the win.

Brazil took on Ghina today. Even though they played like they had never seen a soccer ball before in their lives, they some how came out with a 3-0 victory. Ronaldo made history by making his 15th World Cup goal, the most of any player. They move on the quarterfinals to play the winner of the Spain and Fance game...
Frace and Spain battled out till the very end. Spain scored the first goal off of a PK taking the lead 1-0. But just a short time later Fance comes back, does a beautiful move around the defender and puts it in the back of the net 4 min. before half time. Both teams come back out for the second half, still tied but France seems to be a completely different team. Even though Spain never let up, it just seemed as though France had more heart in it towards the end. They ended up winning 3-1.
