) Dedication to Quentin Evans/children of god who were lost in the ignorance of our society (Evans - child of god)

)  Ignorant is the air that blew, yet it still is able to take everything from the most sacred of treasures.  In his world the skies are overcome by clouds, the skies are too gray, the air too cold….  Dreams are the only thing he has.  From his cheeks drip the tears escaping from a lost soul, this boy asks where is the world his father and mother had promised, with blue skies and lovely flowers; where is the world with voices of laughter, desire for love and everything after?  As if his heart weeps on cue for every beat, he tells it to withstand just a tad bit longer.  He knows that thing will get better and that his happiness is the only thing that matters.  So he sits down calmly knowing everything is alright and begins to dream of that warm cozy night.  Where he sits in bed with everything he’s dreamt, in that world of blue skies and lovely flowers, filled with the voices of children’s laughter, the hearts full of love and human desire, completed by a world that knows what it’s like to suffer.  Where everyone works towards fixing the human condition, wishing for a peaceful society of heavenly rendition.  The words of the wise trickle through the new, where the lives of many knowledge pursues; where success and failures are one in the same, because the society recognizes truth and hope, not caring who is to blame.  This boy dreams of this world, and knows that it’s possible, he is only sad he no longer can be the first human example.  This is where his reality shall begin, in a place where he shall not face this world again...

) new beginning

)  Iris: "Rainbow" Goddess of the rainbow, messenger of the gods...and now official name of my new friend.  She is a linx point, around 2-4 years old, and I adopted her from animal services, which was leasing a cage at petsmart.  I couldn't think of a name, until today, and i think its a pretty beautiful name.  I really like her, she is friendly and already likes me, so I think we'll be good friends.  hehe, she lays down next to me in my bed exactly how I lay down, sideways with her arms by her head, its very cute; and when I wake up and stretch, so does she.  She makes me happy, I hope I make her happy.

)     where love ends, tears begin.  days grow cold enough to where nights bring warmth; for the only happiness achieved is through dreams.  penetrated breaks where blood finds freedom, escaping from a dying heart only to find more pain in the air, where it sits above ground waiting to freeze and be forgotten.  deeper than any cut you've penetrated, further than any laceration could ever find.  dying from inside out; fake smiles, fake laughter, muted happiness from a lost entity.  all that was needed was love, given was all that had, empty now with none returned.  in this world stars are overcome by clouds, beauty defiled by closed eyes. the skies to gray, the air to cold... don't want to see anymore, don't want to wake up to this world...where is the one with blue skies and lovely flowers; where is the ones with voices of laughter; desire for love and everything after.  as if weeping to me every beat, its told to wait just a tad bit longer, where are you, just lost another, noone wants this bleeding soul, this fucking disaster.  atleast they're gone, they can't take anymore, but it really doesnt matter if nothing is left.  change the meds and up the dose, to many memories, too many times spent, now you left alone after you've taken it all, atleast your happy, just don't cry when it's gone.  more meds, more meds, more meds, enough to subdue any emotions that are left, please be enough to forget im alone (

Day 3...Scene 3...bring on the mics!

) Today we filmed the first scene with actual vocals, or lines for that matter; so along with the rest of the equipment lay the mics.  Starting off, getting extras takes more than randomly asking people during school, at the beginning of the shoot, we had about five total...but with a little swaying, katie and the rest of the crew were able to round up close to twenty extras.  I went ahead and used the flourescent lights instead of any of the studio lights, they were more than enough, especially with a white floor and ceiling.  There was a great tracking shot, that would make any director happy, but upon editing, I did realize that a jump cut was visible.  Ashley Thome (Ann Jensen) jumps back as she sees Josh Tucker (Doug Mathews) and in the next shot she is calm and collective.  By far not the worst thing that could happen, we will just have to shoot a short transition shot to eliminate the bad cut.  Today took about three hours, two of actual shooting, one for preporatory work, Friday should be a tad bit faster, even though it's a bit more people and a bit longer, atleast we know a tad bit more about our surroundings.  I definitely need to find a way to absorb the shock from the movement of the boomsticks, any slight movement is picked up by the mics, which definitely can ruin a great take if mic knocks are present....and for some of our takes, they were.  Also, I made note that because we're shooting this in widescreen on a native 4:3 camera, the viewfinder is in "stretch" mode, which makes it seem a tad vertically challenged...but what is most notable in this entry is that the boomsticks made an appearence and dropped into the shot alot more often then I knew out in location.  The viewfinder's image is a bit larger than the screen itself, which means the corners and top, meaning the mics were sometimes in frame without any recognizable image of them being present...which i found in post editing. Another two minutes roughly added to the movie, all the cuts were made, excluding the first transitional cut, all the rest were edited seeminglessly and flowed very nicely.  After Ashley Thome (Ann Jensen) got her lines off book, she did wonderful, along with Josh Tucker (Doug Mathews); they are definitely breaking that shell down and building up their characters nicely.  Another successful shoot in my book, goodjob everyone, especially the crew for their patience, I appreciate everyone's effort.

Scene 1…Take 1…ACTION!

)  Today we began production on Timberline's first independent motion picture.  Scene one was short and sweet, but very important of course, because it is the first scene of the movie (besides a quick little car intro).  I ran into problems lighting up the location, which was medium sized room divided in half by a bunk bed, and a window on the side we used for shooting.  With outside light color temperature ranging from 5600K to 6300K, I had to mix our studio lights (3200K) by using blue gels...which began to melt on the first attempt.  So I decided to close the barn doors, which limited the spread of my light, but distanced the gels from the heat given off by the light.  Now, with a very small space I realized there wasn't exactly that much room for lights...so being the room had a white ceiling, i set up my key light on the other side of the room and bounced the light off of the ceiling onto the other side of the room.  With the light from the window shining through, mixed with the blue gelled studio light, i had an evenly lit location, with sunlight rays shining through to create the appearance that the sun has just risen.  Another problem came up though as soon as we began to adjust the camera for the first take...the digital alarm clock was out of sync with the camera, creating an offset pattern of flashes (same as if you tried to film a computer or television screen)...without the instruction manual and a good twenty minutes fidgeting with the camera, I was able to match it up pretty nicely.  Finally, we were able place Ben Pederson (Brian McNeil) into the scene, with a basic base for his face, and some texturising gel to create a "just-woke-up" look, we were ready to begin.  By the way, Ben, you did an extremely convincing wake-up, and Ginny, I'm sorry we weren't able to shoot your scene today.  I'm glad to announce though, that upon coming home to review the shots, there appears to be no noticable "jump cuts" or inconsistences, totalling about 35 seconds of edited footage for two hours of shooting the first day...it will definitely go alot quicker than today, but definitely a success....one day down, about 50 more to go.  Goodjob and expect updates everyday from now on.
